    Drivers, welcome to round 5!
Now that most of the bugs have been squashed from the last update it's time to get to racing!
With that said, there are still a few issues with LMU that need to be noted.
The first is the issue with the latest G-Hub update, which causes CTDs. If you have the latest version, you will need to revert to an older version (2023.10 works.) Here is a link https://support.logi.com/hc/en-us/articles/360025298133-Logitech-G-HUB (click on show all downloads) ..

The next issue affects players with dynamic IP's ..If your connection is not static, you might randomly get sent to the pits  The fix is using a VPN.
(This issue has been happening at RaceControl events & not sure if it will affect Hosted events..)
It's been stated that these bugs will be squashed in the next release when the game goes out of EA and into 1.0

Now for the good stuff, if you are a Pro or Pro+ member you can now use custom skins in online races . Anyone can create skins, but to use them online, you need to be a Pro or Pro+ member, OR be part of a Team in a team endurance race. That said in order to have custom skins show for Hosted events such as ours we all need to pre register for the events at RC . Im guessing we don't have enough members right now with custom skins so we can bi-pass the feature for now. Gills has made some custom skins for the FKR SRO Racing team so I do have a few skins, but I think I'm the only one so far.
The pre-registration for skins to work adds one more step but its all linked from here at the site and then 1 click. This is what It looks like when you click on the link then simply hit register. It will have the same PW thats posted on the SRO event page. Once the server goes live, the join code will show up on the page below.

Here is a look at the back-end server set up screen, you can see the 2 types of servers to host. The basic (what we have been using) and the Entrylist server (that allows custom skins)
    Desktop Screenshot 2025.06.30 - 22.25.36.07.jpg

Like I said above, we probably don't have enough players with skins yet to warrant using the Entry List Server, but I wanted to let everyone have a look at how it all works. so if and when we get to that point we all know what to do ..

Now if we do end up wanting to use this right away it will result in signing up here at SRO & then clicking the provided link to also pre-register at RC ...

    Let me know!
Right now I think I'm the only one with a skin so we will use the basic server like we have been doing so far..

Also, the mishap we had with the last event at Spa was due to this new part of the code being broken & no server showing up at all ..lol

The server is all set up! We are using the 'Basic server', so no need to register outside the SRO site. However, that means you won't be able to see the cool skins Gills has made for LMU SRO FKR gt3's:p , but everything should be working as it was in all the previous races.
Race day PW is set on the Champ page ;)

Man, Algarve is a struggle for me .. & The fact that the default set for the Porsche has so much understeer, I found myself lifting on every exit just to keep it between the lines, especially the last 2 right-handers, where I was losing tons of time .. You could have planted a garden behind me with all the plowing I was doing lol .. Strange because in an earlier race at Sebring it wasn't that bad ..

Looks like some people missed the start? We have 90 sec's after Q to set the car up and join the grid & there is no verbal warning except the announcement to take the grid once the 90 sec's start ..

Next up is a nighttime start at Le Mans! Hope to see you all there :)

I know what you mean Rob. The sheer understeer with the new tire model makes it a lot less fun to play.
I also don't like it when games change their physics so rigorously. Reminds me a bit of a game with black and red logo and a 2.

We'll see what the future brings.

    Take care!

I wasn't expecting to win to be honest i havent been racing much, the bmw felt great, was slowly closing the gap on bjoern and past on the finish straight was great fun, thanks looking forward to next round

it was great fun.. although i was running out of fuel on the last corner...

@Rob - I am quite comfortable and like the new physics esp. the porsche, I choose coach-dave setup and only increased front ride height a little , rear wing highest, TC 5/5/8 - ABS 6.

looking forward to Le Mans and hopefully a big grid

Yes we need to tweak the setup a bit to be able to push more now .. From what I have seen its possible to get that feeling back with some tweaks ;-)
Good info .. I saw a YT video of a guy explaining that a few ride height tweaks made the cars more like before the update! I also tried the CD set without tweaks & added max wing but then switched back at the last min after losing the rear a few times lol. Also, for me, the CD Porsche set has only enough fuel for 1 lap haha & had to bump the fuel ratio up

I was thinking maybe you ran out of fuel that was bad timing haha I went for the coach dave setup it seemed good for me
