Registration If you have never raced on the older versions of Imola, you're in for a treat! The 72' version has no chicains, no sector 1 "eses" no slow down areas! It's a flat out balls to the walls challenge perfect for these 74' Porsches! The track was originally called the Autodromo di Imola, and inaugurated as a semi-permanent venue in 1953. It had no chicanes, so the runs from Acque Minerali to Rivazza, and from Rivazza all the way to Tosa, through the pits and the Tamburello, were just straights with a few small bends; the circuit remained in this configuration until 1972.
i tried this on timetrial, can confirm it was nuts. there is BuzzedBoba somewhere on 2nd page and used the setup from best Porsche time, which was nuts also
For anyone who wants to run some laps but does not have the DLC, I will be hosting A 1hr practice starting today Sunday at 20:00 GMT (in 5 min ;-)
Have promised to assemble couple furniture so ill make it if delivery comes early and dont mess up badly...
Those times may have been set when the game was at an earlier version and a bit quicker. They may not be achievable with the current version.
https://ams2leaderboards.krispnet.org/ Best Porsche 1.41.2 Im at 1.42.2 and Roman is 1.41.5 lol Didnt they reset timetrials? Any how that other car is taking top spots but we are on decent pace. I drove maybe 8-10 laps using the setup pf best porsche time. And still waiting for delivery....
tougher track than last week, I thought, but great fun. Had a scrap for 3rd 4th and 5th but ended up getting some damage at the end so couldn't keep it up. Well done podium and all finishers. Looking forward to the next one p.s. track layouts seem much better back then, quicker and on the edge without all the chicanes
Ya, we missed you Toni!! What a fun track for these cars. That flat-out sector 1 was insane fun. I love the slight bumps making for white knuckles all the way lol Grats to Roman who was on another level, & big shout out to Ken for a heroic comeback after dropping way back to the end of the pack only to charge threw the field (albeit with some mistakes made lol) all the way back to 3rd & on the podium! AMS2 TC70S Podium 1. Roman Granatovich 2. Phil Brown 3. Ken Jagger I got distracted & lost concentration for 1 sec and hit the wall up top in sector 3 & saw Ken go speeding by on his comeback ..lol Good fun & hope to see everyone next week at another challenging historic track Sudschleif Historic 71'
Can I give a Big thank you to everyone who clearly felt sorry for me dropping to the back-end of the field and assisting my "come-back" to where I started. I felt a bit more comfortable with the car this 2nd time out, which probably helped, although it can still bite you when you're not careful! Loved this version of the track too, which should work well with other AMS2 cars/classes. Question for Phil? - Did you drop back to save fuel or did you just get bored not seeing any other cars ahead or behind.
Yes, love that first section but I always had to lift a bit to avoid hitting the wall on the exit; I couldn't do it flat (in fifth).
