The server is working correctly. It has to be something on your end. If you have all the cars and track that I posted above, you should be able to join.
Something on your end is conflicting. Please try the suggestion that Andrew posted. That might be it. Hope it helps.

Nope, Andrews post was only good for the old UI. RF2 has updated to the new graphical interface and you no longer have access to the old launcher to do the final step.

I have though, found a hidden mod manager tool in the \Bin64\ directory that when given the correct locations, shows the same info that Andrew was on about:

As shown, I have the required mod content at the correct version status but the Mods were being damaged during loading and not access the required content as the game tries to join the server.

I managed to crack it, it requires the complete removal of any prior SRO server mods in that list that was red.
Once the red mods were gone the mod reported correctly, and loaded the content.

I am now able to join.

The ModMgr.exe is in your ...\SteamApps\common\rFactor 2\Bin64... folder and once started, change the working directory at the bottom right to the .....\SteamApps\common\rFactor 2\ folder and check that the packages Dir is correct as well.

Once this is done click refresh at the top right if it hasn't already repopulated the mod list.

From here organise by name and Uninstall any mod starting with SRO that is red. Try loading the game and joining the server. If it throws the error message again, try uninstalling any other server mods that are coloured red and repeat. by removing the damaged mods from the list, it should mean the game has no erroneous files causing conflicts.

Nice find @Andy Tomlinson i’ll make a note of that one.

The packages organizer is still there in the new UI, however like you mention it’s now far simpler. However I did delete a bunch of old SRO event files on it the other night.

saying that though your app find is really useful and I’ll probably stick to using that one going forward. I find that if you don’t do the odd bit of spring cleaning on RF2 it can get very messy. Haha.

    Hey, Darrel,

No "aero" package for the GT3s. The "tuning" menu is now "customize" on the car selection menu.

Yeh, short lived success I'm afraid.......

Sorting the teams new livery in single player this is my default drivers view ( I run triple screen, this is the centre one):

Joining the server I am met with this:
No amount of seat or FOV adjustment moves it. Worse still its not even centered on the cars wheel can't figure this one out now as I need to visit the recharge table.

    hey, Andy.

I use "Headtilt" to tweak my driving view (side to side, up down, front back, tilt, etc.):

Not sure if it works with 3 screens, and i've found it more than a little frustrating at times, as the keyboard directions don't seem to work for me as smoothly as others have reported. I usually struggle to get it to save a quick "whatever" setting for the car i'm working with, then escape to garage, alt-tab to desktop, go into the "ini" file with notepad, adjust, return to rF2, go into the car to see what the adjustment did, esc to garage, alt-tab, adjust the "ini" file, return to game, go to car, esc to garage, rinse and repeat as needed. Like i said, frustrating, but at least you can do it all with alt-tab and don't have to leave the track and eventually i get my view as i need it.

    Hi Guys
I still can't get in to the server even after deleting the mods. Any other ideas?

S397 dropped an update today for the GT3 pack.

Think it was to fix a few things, not sure if the view point was one of them but logged on today and everything is fixed. I can continue with the season thankfully.

    See you on track!

Oh, one thing I have noticed that Server transmission has been disabled?? I don't get to see anyones potentially lovely livery :(
Was looking forward to chasing the "Foot Sniffing Pig" in the championship again.

The update was for the GTE pack. Not the GT3's. You can enter the server as before.
I've checked the server and the "custom skin transfer" option is enabled. So from the server point of view, you should be able to use custom skins.
If you can't transfer custom skins, than rFactor 2 itself must interfere with that. They have been updating a lot lately.

If you go into RF2's server browser and search "SRO IMSA", you'll find it :)

Red lights on the signup list

We have a few red lights on the signup list who would like to join this event. If you are a green light and feel you can't make the race, please unregister to make room for the red lights. Thanks in advance :)
