Yes I also saw this AI behaviour too Chris. Unfortunately that's something outside our control as it's programmed into the track by the developers. It could've been broken by an AC update and the devs haven't updated the track.
This might be my lack of understanding here, but if it’s programmed into the “track” how will it be any good for us to race on?
You can change the AI path. This tutorial describes how to do it. Make sure you make a copy of the track first as it may cause mismatches when you go online.
