Just to warn about Round 3,

The link to the track download shows that the mod is no longer on Steam. I have found a download file (clean one) for V1.01 of the track, which I hope is the correct one.

And it is dreadfully bumpy and treats your front tyres as a delicacy.

I tried 1.01 too. If to reduce the pace by roughly 0.5 sec per lap it is still possible to finish with one stop. In addition I moved break balance more backward to reduce front tyres wear.

I don't know what's happening at the STEAM rF2 Workshop, but this the second track we were going to use in one of our events to have been removed in the last couple of weeks :confused:o_O
I've uploaded the track to SRO Resources and updated the DL link on the race page, so anybody who didn't already have it installed from the STEAM Workshop can get it from us now.

    hi
Im not anywhere near good enough to be racing in this series with you guys. Rather than causing any problems on track im going to leave it for now .
    Thanks anyway

Practice makes perfect Martyn :) You are nowhere near as bad as you suggest and remember that in most of our series the pack is usually divided into segments where we all usually have some competition. I hope you reconsider your decision.

never be put off by the lap times that some of us do. they are nearly always a 1-off during a stint.

I personally can only do these times because I have, so far, put 250+ laps practice per track to know the tracks and cars behaviour, and to see how far I can push me conollies

Sorry about the start, the ones behind me. I always turn off my car and turn it back in the beginning of races to save fuel. This time, it just wouldn't turn back on. I forgot, open seaters do this. Oh well. Another race/practice I miss do to work. Errrrr.

    On to the next.

What a waste, managed all of 5m before being taken out after trying to avoid a non starter on the grid!

The lights never came on for me. I had to watch the timer to know when to go. It was an odd start. And finish. About 6-7 laps in my throttle pedal started fading away. I pulled over on track and tried to reset but no go. Oh well. It was a short but fun race chasing Ken. Very challenging car/track combo. Thank you Ken for hosting this race!

I think for everyone. Probably the bug of the track. I looked at timer as well.

There did seem to be a problem with lights and also the starting horns were very quiet at the back of the grid. This track was used last year without any reported problems, so it's odd to encounter some today o_O

I also missed the lights but also did not have a timer so I lost a place in the start to Caitlin, but that resulted in great battles with first Caitlin and after catching with Andy I pitted to take on softs after 35 minutes. I rejoined in 3rd and after Andy and Anatoliy pitted I was in 2nd seeing Anatoliy in the distance. I drove the wheels off the car trying to catch Anatoliy but het controlled the race and I could not get closer than 2s. In the meantime the soft fronts were at the end of their lifespan 8 minutes before the end and I had to settle for 2nd and just bring the car home...

This was the first time racing with the CSL DD i bought two weeks ago. After reconstructing the rig for the CSL DD I have it dialled in quiet to my liking now, but still have to get used to the feel of more force especially the loading in fast high downforce corners. The load cell brake still requires a bit of getting used to but I already notice that this already has some benefits in reaction time when driving in close proximity of other cars.

Finally I found this track really awesome with its flowing corners, hairpins and elevation... I hope to race it more often.

    Cya....

Congrats on the new wheel. You and Ken have beautiful Wheels. You guys might have to post some sexy photos of this wheel. I think I might purchase one in the following year or two as my Thrustmaster still works great but has seen many miles and maybe time to retire it.

I purchased this because my Thrustmaster T150 also had seen the best of days...

Its a step up, but I expected that it would be even better. But maybe my settings are not perfect yet. Driving becomes a workout. Saves me an evening to the gym. LOL
