Hi I made an attempt to race today but I am unprepared. I haven’t race Assetto Corsa for a few years. Everything needs a bit of tuning. I see it is much improved from my last encounter which was not very positive. Not sure of the log on requirements. I tried to get on a sever but could not find the password, etc, etc. Also is that long Stean number still required? Have things moved forward or am I living in the past?
That was some good racing tonight fellas! Fast and clean. Nice. And a big CHEERS to the guys being lapped. Well behaved One even went wide on the grass to let me pass Didn't need to do that
That was absolutely fantastic! Thanks everybody for the clean racing, and thanks to the lapped cars for being so nice! Cant wait to see you next race!
Haha, that was me! You came up behind me so fast Roy, that I panicked a bit and went on the grass. No harm done. Nice win.
Great race tonight. Beautiful car and track. Very nice to drive and good to control. I stayed on the track except one minor excursion onto the grass (see above ). Very busy race for me and great experience. I had to concentrate fully every lap as I was being passed every few minutes. Managed to go a good job of getting out the way most times, it is not easy at times, but glad for the nice feedback. My laps were steady 54-55 on the default set up. Most of all, my driving is improving so much. A long, long way to go, but despite being the last finisher, I learnt a lot tonight as I was having think and adjust all race. Thank you admins and fellow drivers.
I am getting old, I remebered that we drove this car already five years ago (also that it had P2P), but I though Roy Cop had won the series. That is wrong I confused him with another belgian (Tim Meuris). Sorry Race was good, start was messy but in the end I was fortunate to survive the mayhem. After that I was alone the most time, interrupted by lapping cars. As said, good job most of the time. Good idea to go offline in the hairpin, probably less good to brake on a straight and create a big speed difference. But I know it from my own experience, not that easy when a car approaches fast. Congrats to the top four, too fast and consistent for me today.
What a nice race. It was a bit uncertain for me since I dont have the possibility to practice, just arrive at last minute and learn lap by lap. First race with my new CSL DD . I finaly retire my old broken G25., and need to get used to it.
I've won multiple series here at SRO. I believe Tim took over waving the Belgian flag when I left ;-)
BTW, why was noone in voice on Discord? I find that strange as in our League it's mandatory. Just for important information, not for idle chatter
There was some discussion about the P2P system last night, so maybe this previous thread will help explain it better, although I think the actual effect at such a short track as Brands Indy was negligible. https://simracingonline.co.uk/threads/simracingholland-audi-tt-cup-series-info.3030/
Totally got my fuel calculation wrong and had to back off for the final two laps, losing a place to Jose in the process. Having said that, with AC I always find that I can never run the same lap times in the final part of the race as at the beginning, as I can feel the lower grip due to tyre wear and am not able to compensate for it. Generally I seem to lose more than other drivers for some reason and yet I consider I am one of the less aggressive drivers in terms of tyre wear than others.
The results processing is pending due to an issue we have encountered with one of our servers. Hopefully normal service will resume very soon.
