lost VR tracking just as qualy ended, not possible to reset pimax tracking while game open or it will crash, managed to rejoin server just before race start but it just said no vehicle selected so could not actually join the race, really disappointed as I was looking forward to this race, hopefully my team mate robin can get a good result for Team Blackcat.

Terrible race for me. I really enjoyed the first 10 laps, but Phillip was right behind with more pace, which probably pushed me harder than I should have gone. I ended up losing the rear under braking into T1, and after that the tyres felt undriveable. I pitted for fresh tyres, but struggled to get them working and made the same mistake again, losing the rear after braking. I was running 3 or 4 seconds off my own pace and eventually retired. Definitely a steep learning curve.

    Congrats to the winners.

im finding myself lost in with LMU and find it somewhat sterile and as dont have a clue, driving is not so enjoyable in a way i would like it to be.
its pretty much to the point that feel i dont want to take part.
today thou Philip made me push to the finish. i saw only 3 left so was wondering at 30mins left, that my bladder is going to explode and why wont i just pit and take 3rd.
i just couldnt doit as decided to give him a race to the end, which was really fun, would have been more so if cars wouldnt be so sterile to my liking.

Sounds like a typical P2 experience! They are a bit sterile..thats just how they drive ..How do you feel about the GT3 & GTE ? We need to decide what sim /cars for series 2 of the WS ??

Yes, its on stream 1.50.35 a driver defining moment as we catch 2 gt3 cars battling..
I notice them having a fight, @Philipp Pichler .3 seconds fighting me ( and a little faster too ) but i lift as dont want to mess that fight up and Philipp notices what im doing and does the same.
Usually people just divebomb by not giving a rats behind.
    Made my race tbh.
    Respect.

After what happened in Spa, I still try to reduce the risk at lapping cars, which not always works, there were some situations a bit too close for comfort (met Oli twice in turn 13, one with Barret in turn 12) oh and I guess Lewis was not particular happy, when I followed you through in the next turn. Still, when you basically signaled by lifting very early that you do not want to interfer, it felt reasonable to do the same. I would have looked very silly, if I cause a crash there because turn 9/10is already difficult without having traffic to crash into. (Some context, here is the situation in the broadcast you can see it at 1:50:00)

Enough said, also thanks for the race, was good fun. Some for Robin, maybe it was less fun because I wanted to pass you, but until your spin there was no way by. So good job there.

Apart from that, bummer for Nick, after the quali it did not look that good for me. I really struggled to get a lap together and start was also not that good. Race pace was better, after being in clear air, I could drive good/consistent lap times.

I was also trying a bit mor FOVish view, before I used default (Toni gave me a hint). The actual value 15° was too extreme to cope with. Not sure if that is already helping me, or not. Lets see at the next round.

And last but not least, huge congrats to Matej on his comeback. Same of course for the GT3 podium.

Oh and if someone needs the replay

My race was short lived. Just after starting lap 2, I'm happily motoring around in the Bahrain'nian night one minute, the next, I'm sat motionless in a garage with a bewildered look on my face. Could see no option other than exit, which I eventually did, but when I rejoined, the best I was offered was to spectate. Guess it was only me :( Roll on the next one :)

    Had fun with this one!

Qualified poorly, as usual, so the early laps were just about saving tires while holding on to the cars ahead and hoping for an opportunity. Called for a pit stop a couple laps early, then stayed out twice because the cars ahead went in and it seemed the strategically better choice.

Was hoping to over-cut Dino, but after the cycle i wound up ahead of Grant Jones as well and had gained on Lewis. Lewis was pulling away and i didn't expect the gap to Grant to last, as i assumed he had changed tires (i hadn't), but...

But... i am still really struggling with the rear of the Lexus. So frustrating, and even more unpredictable after the last update. It just seems to suddenly lose feel and spin without warning (while i'm thinking it should be in a steady-state -- maybe it's something i'm doing, but i can't identify it by comparing lap data). I did 2 of the 2.4h weekly's this week with different setup approaches and after yesterday, i thought i had the problem solved, as the car felt totally predictable and dependable thru the entire race. But I made one damn change today, increasing camber equally at both ends, which seemed to improve tire wear while maintaining balance. But late in the race, after i'd jumped a couple positions at the pit stop, it just came around on me in T4, just sort of slow drifting into a half-spin while i was neutral throttle into the apex. No saving it. Exactly what my brother used to refer to as an "rFactor spin" - you just suddenly lose all feel from the rear tires and spin as if they'd just fallen off the car (in rF1 you could correlate this to a very visible stepping in the game's tire wear v grip table, if there's a correlation here in LMU, it's hidden).

Anyway, that let Grant by without even the semblance of a fight, so i re-focused on Dino and trying to rebuild my confidence in the car. At some point i saw Dino had decided he had enough remaining fuel/energy to push, and became much faster than my current pace. So i began to push a bit more. Then i had another moment into T1 and Dino got by in T4. There were a few laps left in the race (and i do find it easier to follow that lead), so i set about testing the car and my confidence in the car relative to Dino's pace in various spots on the track. I was also very aware that Dino was on the edge relative to fuel/energy, whereas i had over-estimated my need.

Bailed out of a few pass attempts, then i saw Matej coming up and had to quickly assess if i'd get another lap. Made my bet on that, and did one more test at T10 without committing.

Did the dive into T10 on the next lap, where i knew i could outbreak him, and made it thru. Defended into T11, held it, held it again at T12, T13. Was sorry to see Dino spin in T14. Great fun Dino! Fully fair, full respect!

[and good job on the streamcast guys!]

.. apparently u got a drive-through right after the start (watch stream, red info next to your name) for speeding ( result file) probably jump-start... didnt serve it, then after one or two laps it shows DQ.

    grats to finishers !

i underfuelled a little, later guessing it could be 46 laps and loosing 2nd spot.. should have gone flat to the end.
Björn spun into gravel and car didnt move on throttle anymore.. maybe hardware issues..?!

race was great fun, awesome new broadcast app.. showing also energy!

I saw the same thing & Neil, and I talked about it for a sec I think ... something about Gilles being in VR and maybe not seeing the penalty?

Yep, my GT3 don't turn too well :D and tends to want to go to the outside kerb on exit, so overtaking on the outside there probably wont work out too well for either of us. Maybe better to wait a bit and cut inside which most other P2s seemed to do.

Very lonely race for me, only the bright lights of Bahrain to entertain me. No mistakes though, so pleased with that. Grats podiums and see you next round.

It's allways nice to win the race, but with no close driving, 90 mins feels really long.. I was probably a lot happier about the fact my LMU didn't crash, than about the race result ;)
Shame for Nick, it surely would be harder to get that result.
For the next series I think we should have a single class champ, to get a nice full grid.
