Welcome to Daytona Road Course 2.4 hours single event

This is the first event of the "Endurance Racing League". This league has come forth from the desire to experience Endurance Racing in the best way possible. To accomplish this, we have put together a car field as it should be.
We are now racing with a complete GTE package.

For this event we are using from the original Endurance Pack these cars:
Porsche 911 RSR, BMW M8 GTE, Corvette C7.R, Oreca 07 LMP2.

In addition, we have now added to this field:
Aston Martin GTE & Ferrari 488 GTE.

Date: Saturday August 1 2020
Qual: 20:00 pm GMT
Race: 20:20 pm GMT
Length: 2,4 hours (144 minutes + 3 minutes formation lap = 147 minutes)
Always dry
Damage: 100%
Official race (effects ranking)

We will apply x 4 time acceleration, starting 16:00 in game time Always dry.

You can use custom skins.

Start of the race:
1. We will do a full formation lap.
2. After the chicane, we will file up in double file. The pole sitter stays on the speed limiter from that point and starts the race on the start / finish line.

 

Part 1 - 2020 Rolex 24 At Daytona

 

Yes, otherwise you'll get a mismatch on the server because of lacking content.
If this concept works, we will do a full blown series with these cars several times with the Endurance Racing League, so it's a good investment. You will drive them a lot and get to try out more different cars.

Track update

Daytona Road Course has been updated from v1.21 to DX11 v1.27.

Please delete v1.21 and install v1.27

Daytona is a 24 hour event in real life, and we will race 2,4 hours. So we will do a full circle x time acceleration 10, simulating 24 hours. Always dry.
The real race starts at 13:40 pm, so we will start at 14:00 pm in game.

 

Not to my knowledge. If you all think it's better to end in the night with 3 x time acceleration, that's fine too. After all we are a league where we decide together.

 

After Le Mans, the Daytona server will go up. There we will see in practise if it needs discussion.

 

Server is up with the Oreca LMP2 and all the 6 GTE cars.

Quick Tested 2 cars for a few laps.
Aston Martin topspeed Le Mans Aero Package 288 km/h 2.46.472
Ford EGT no flaps in "Tuning" - Le Mans front wing, rear 0. 283 km/h 2.46.270 (Strangely faster. Must have better accelaration, but with all the wings down a challenge in the corners)

Let me know what you all think about the BOP. As a league, everything is open for discussion before the race.
It is an official race, but we can view this as a test event for the next complete series to fine-tune stuff.
