Welcome to the SRO FKR ACC Special event at Spa!
Live Broadcast on the SRO youtube channel.
    Date: April 3rd 2021

    Q: 19:00
    R: 19:20
    All Times GMT

This race is designed to replicate a day/night 24hour cycle of the famous Spa
in a compact 3-hour mini endurance race using time acceleration.
The start time will be 1pm in-game with time accel set to x8
this combo will result in a 24-hour cycle 3x8=24
with a 1pm finish the next day.
This will take us from mid-day to sunset - sunrise & back to mid-day.
This is a non-scoring single event with the top 3 being the kings & queens of Spa for a day!

This event is open to all members of SRO.

The start will be a full formation lap rolling start following the widget!
This will give us time to feel the cars & think about the actual start and how we are not going to hit anybody !!

All SRO rules apply with the addition of the
    Lap one ZERO CONTACT rule!
If you are at fault of any contact resulting in a spin or off
this earns you an instant drive-through on lap one.
The regular rule of waiting for the car you hit to rejoin
and or give the position back is not available on lap one, you must do a DT
So be mindful on lap 1;)

I hope we can get a nice-sized grid for this one while we wait for the SRO FKR ACC GT3 series 2 to kick off, starting April 17th!
It's going to be a true test for sure!
At 180 min or 3hrs, It's the longest race we have had here with ACC, and with the day/night transitions it's going to be a hard-fought,
    grueling, ass-numbing race!
    And if it rains?
You just never know at Spa!

*This event also qualifies for FKR participation points towards the year-long FKR SRO ACC GT3 Championship!
(1 point for entering & racing in any FKR GT3 special event during the 2021 season)
You must complete the race to earn your points (1)

The FKR bonus points are separate from the SRO results and kept in the FKR database.
These are counted up at the end of the year and applied to your total SRO points (all 4 series) to award the overall SRO FKR ACC GT3 Champion.

Hoping we get a big grid, will not be fun running for 3 hours with a small grid.

Fantastic Balazs! The practice server is up. Things to think about & remember with ACC, the car will change as the race conditions change and tires start to wear, it was stated over at kunos that the slower you warm up the tires the more consistent they will be & longer they will last over the duration of the run .. so for those of you who chase the dog right out of the gate be careful not to overheat or over drive the tires early on or you will pay for it later. :D
& Glad to have you back for a spin;)

Where is a good place for info? on settings, on setting cars up? are there any plugins for motec or similiar? At least AC has some really useful apps, once you enabled the dev-apps

Lots of good info at the kunos site!
In the Blog 'Aris Drives' you will find some excellent info vid's on how the GT3 cars drive & how to get the best out of them.
Also some 3rd party stuff in the ACC Tools thread.

My head hurts from the clock changes. So i think this means it starts at the same time as normal, Was thinking it had moved to accomdate not finishing too late at night.

I so want to drive other cars but the Honda just randomly kills you, losing the rear. The Audi which i've been driving constantly for the last few weeks in random servers just doesnt like Eau Rouge, The maclaren might be a contender as it naturally understeers, but the Aston is the easiest to drive again.

Hi! I have not raced much in a few months, because I'm waiting for my 3070 graphics cards that could get back to drive VR. I have to drive on the monitor again so I can't drive fast anymore, but I will ride this for fun. Are there any pitstop rules I should know?

Rob can you please confirm the track year? Last time I was expecting 2020 and got 2019 and thats all different setup wise.

    It is different?

Not sure about the track itself, but BOP wise yes, key thing being how much camber you can run.

Track grip is different at least. But Alex if you do your setup in the server, then your setup should work in race.
