Might just as well be porsche cup. If there wasn't going to be a mandatory pit it might have made for some different car choices
I really tempting to go for Hillman.. As i see most ppl choose the Porsche as i did because i can drive it with my joyoad :s , but i really liked that little taz devil.. So my choice for Porsche is not permanent, the Hillman is one of my major choices even if i finish last at every race
True, it's fast, but it's also a very difficult car. Most of the other cars are stable on corner entry, but the Porsche is an oversteering pig on corner entry if you correct too sharp or are too high in the ref's and the rears spin up. You have to be spot on in every corner or it will bite.
I love driving the imp too Vasilis, but its so uncompetitive with the faster cars. I also think that at some circuits it might need two pit stops
Hi Drivers. What about Ad Weight into the winner car. That will make a more faire fight. And how do the weight out of the car again? Just not score any point at all, a you will lose some of the point weight. Say 50 kg and only to the winner. at some point the field fast winner will fall back and let others take a win og 50 Kg to. We have used this simpel tricks in a Danish Lega. Keed it simpel Stupid. Before you all kill me - it works and makes it much more fair. What does this story tell about my skills - well I never got the 50 kg into my car but did't get close to the middle field.. I will now take my flakvest on and helmet also. Cheers.
Success ballast is pretty hard in cars that vary so much. 50 Kg in the Mustang has a lot less impact than 50kg in the Mini.
Yes it is, but you also took a win - it comes with a price.. Winners of races would like to drive against someone and cars with none or little potentiale will at some point also bee good cars Austin Healy ect.
Its true Phil, the mod has some major problems as the tire wear which at some cars is not exist at all, and fuel consumption of course.. The Porsche for example its capable to finish a race with a half fuel tank when Hillman will need at least one stop or even two as you mentioned.. Something is wrong here and i think that Porsche will have a big advantage at all races...
Porsches are known for their excellent fuel economy (and reliability) and hence why they won so many endurance races throughout motorsport history. Can testify they are light on their tyres too as i've got one! Hillman is probably tuned to the max to get the power out of it and so more juicy on fuel. I like the idea of success ballast in a series as i always think it brings the front few closer to the pack and makes them work harder for a victory. Top 3 should get maybe 50kg, 25kg and 15kg for instance. Not too much that it degrades the driving experience but maybe enough to pull them back a few tenths. Ballast would need testing.
We can not implement this anymore, as the series is already up and all members subscribed on the basis of the current rules. This should have been agreed on before the series was constructed and became official. So this discussion is off the table. Sorry.
Hi John (dad) hi hi Okay okay - just kids talking at the table... I was just thinking about other situation, where the serie banded the Ford Capri from the grid - here this could have been done the same way with ballast. Sorry no fuzz.
I agree with you at this part, maybe the Porsche is not hungry at fuel as the Hillman, i used them as a general conclusion that something is wrong with the mod, It cant be some cars lacking of tire wear and Jaguar having the lowest fuel consumption of all cars.. That was my point..
What a pity that this mod is built without adjustments of shock absorbers !! They really seem too soft. it's a basic setting on this kind of car.
Signed up for this last night. I'll have to try the full set of cars out (I haven't driven them in AC before) but mark me down for the Alpine A110 for now.
