rFactor 2 INDYCAR DALLARA - General Rules & Info

My apologies for being wrong about rejoining the server with a fresh car and fresh tyres. I thought the server Multiplayer.JSON file was set to value 1 where you get a fresh car back when you rejoin after disconnecting. I haven't disconnected in 3 or 4 years, so I just believed it was set to 1.
I will investigate this.

 

I was indeed wrong in assuming that rejoining in Multiplayer.JSON was on setting 1.
Rejoining is now on setting 1 for the remaining of the 2025 World Series. That means ... if you disconnect and rejoin, you get a new car and tyres (with or without a FCY).

Be advised that hitting ESC does not work for rejoining the race. If you hit ESC you can't come back.
You can only re-enter if you disco.

• 1 = yes with fresh vehicle : When you get back in session, your car is brand new, ready to start in Pits and you can use "Drive" to get back on track but with one or more laps down which is normal.

 

For what it's worth over the last few weeks both LMU and LFM platforms have also had mass random disco's happening .. they, like us, have no clue as to why other than the interweb having issues. I can assure you there is nothing wrong with our servers, we checked with the provider double checked all our configs and can't find anything out of sorts .. The interwebs have been suspect for a lot of platforms over the last few months.. Some say it could be partly from underwater cables being cut & rerouting millions of users' networks & such .. I was in 2 races last week where a similar thing happened, 2/3rds of the field was dropped, one in lmu where we all got discoed.. and the other in AMS2 at LFM just like what happened to us on Sunday .. I heard some of the same things were going on in the rF2 RC servers.. So you can't put 100% blame on any one thing and can't be 100% sure things won't happen .. ..

 

Make sure you don't have caps lock on.
