"pretty close to rf2 once you tweek it" well, i'll have to check that out... How did you tweeked it Rob? In game menu, or did you edited that "text file"?
I just used the ffb settings page & turned 'menu spring strength' down to like 20 & gain to 80 this by it's self did what I was constantly trying to do with pC1 that's get rid of that forced center spring feel ,it just felt numb with spring resistance ,now with pC2 I can get rid of it and actually feel the road & curbs like I can in rf2 but the fidelity of rf2 is not there ..I've switched between "raw" and "immersive" on there presets .. Immersive has all the canned 'feelys' where 'raw' has the direct FFB from the road .. then in the config you can go nuts with all the ffb setting like it was in pC1 so there are tons of ways to adjust it if you like .. Don't get me wrong when i say Close to rf2 that's what i mean ..its close hehe allot closer than pC1 ! it still suffers from a lack of certain feelings like front tire lock up & weight transfer .. you can see it and kinda feel it so you can make the right corrections as your on the limit but it's nothing like in rf2 ... rF2 's FFB is still in another league .. for me its simply the best ... so anything else is just a game ..but this is a fun ,exciting game ! and as mentioned above at least has some realism features that make it that much closer to what I'm used to with ISI's Gmotor sims .. so take it for what it is .. I would say pC2 is a touch of true sim in a simcade wrapper If you like pc1 you will love pc2 ..the MP code is improved & the racing is fun and exciting.... & pc2 is set up allot better for leagues than pc1 ..now we just need a results file to see if that's any better than pc1..
I understand you! I didn't like pc1 ffb because of that.. i played because its beautiful!!! BTW, "menu spring strength" is the "volume"?
no is the botton one ,last on the list .. under controls- FFB .. "Menu Spring Strength" it takes the tightness out of the middle but keeps the feel .. kinda like rf2
Maybe I'm just a lot less sensitive to FFB issues than other guys, but I honestly don't remember having any problems with it in pC1. Maybe it's a type of wheel thing? I'll have to take another look and see what I think now.
Bought the game I do have a few questions: 1. In profile I entered my normal name, but on the gridlist it keeps displaying my Steam profile name. How do I solve that? 2. How do I disable off track penalties? As soon as you set 1 wheel over the tracklimit line, the Race director slaps you with a message that your laptime is deleted.
I have found a version online, im testing it to see if its worth buying And so far...my opinion is simple Better than pc1...beautiful cars and tracks, but it lacks better physics and/or ffb Raw ffb feels the best, with some tips by Rob works better, but it still lacks something I think its not worth the money it costs, but still..cool piece of sofware to take a few laps offline
Look in 'game play' for the penilties I had to change my steam name ( it lets you do lots of aliases so its a common thing) but you do it in steam client ..
John it has a cool mp rally cross mod ..stadium races with a joker lap ! 6 lap heats ..super fun in the snow & mud ! I will set up a server later tonight !
Guys i have a server up for somthing we never have done on line ! Super rally cross ! Only 5 cars allowed per race -6 lap races on a set corse with a joker lap , you must take the joker lap at least 1time .. its insane fun with the RXSupercar lite Server name FKR@SRO Hardcore no pw !
Sorry Rob, I've missed you setting up a server. Only just read it. Have to say, I'm really liking the game more and more as I'm learning more about it and ajusting settings. Default setups are oke, but have to take a look at it if you want more out of the car. Did rallycross, rain race on Spa, historic cars and much more. Having a blast.
Ya its actually really growing on me ! The historic content is bomb! Try the 69 z06 or is it z28 ? Lol camero at sears frikin amazing! I read a post from an old dude that actually race them back then & he stated " best representation of the car hes drove yet" he has it for RR & AC but say the pc2 version took him back and felt just like his old camero ! Lol anyway i will be hosting tonight again dont know what yet but around midnight to 2am my time i will have a server up FKR@SRO .. it fills up quick every night full grids !
I have some new wheel settings for the G27 ! Feels almost as good as rf2 .. but they are different animals so whos to say anyway ... it feels great thats all lol ... i will post them later when im home at my PC ..
