this is a link to the skin I wish to use in BoxerCup races for testing,it doesn't overwrite any of the original content. http://www.mediafire.com/file/5twe4ccrb2chha5/Boxer_JLOK_Racing.rar
Ah ok i must have uploaded the wrong version. I'll change it later today. Thanks for picking that up John
I don't think this will work as it is adding another Team into the mod folders and not just an additional skin within an existing team. I think you would get a mismatch with the server as it will not have this extra Team.
you are correct it will only work as part of an original team just tested it on my server, so here is my reworked skin as part of an original team. I know it will have to be on the server & other drivers will need to install it on there setup or they will not see it. I have other skins that I can rework for other drivers if they want them, just contact me & I'll send them pics http://www.mediafire.com/file/9l9e55r9b7ci2lr/JLock_skin_addition.rar
Mine & Rob Milken skin additions http://www.mediafire.com/file/b9zn017ndamkzx3/Boxercup_JL_&_RM_Skins.rar
the skins need to be on the server or I get kick off the server, removed the skins off my server the same happened got kicked off the server, as the server does not recognize the vehicle
I wonder if it needs to go into a /skins folder within the /Team folder like it did with rFactor? Try it and see as if it works we do not need to install it to the server. We need to keep the server install as original as possible.
unfortunately it doesn't act like RF1, there are no options to change skins, tried putting a skins folder in the BoxerCup folder, in the Teams Folder & in the individual team folder, but no extra skins are shown. would have made it much easier if it could have been done that way
Just tried it with 23 AI's all cars were in there individual pit boxes at a couple of tracks max of 4 cars from 1 team with no problems, so there shouldn't be any problems with any pit stops. if you make a backup of the original BoxerCup Folder you will be able to switch back if needed in the future. it will be easy to delete the additions as they all have two or three zero's before the number making them four digits long, the originals do not, except for the double zero team 3 red cow racing
Just tried an idea of putting all the additional skins in a folder called BoxerCupAdditions inside the Teams Folder & it worked, so that won't mess up the original folders. the folder will still need to be on the server & in the setup of each player
it doesn't need to go inside the teams folder, just inside the BoxerCup Folder, made a mistake when putting it in a rar file but still works fine, link to the download so you can test. only mine & Rob's skins in atm http://www.mediafire.com/file/682p8dzr52q05a0/BoxerCupAdditions.rar
I think i registered in this amazing car serie , i have to do anything more, or i can jump to the track right now?

I created a skins folder under Team12, added your skin files into it and was able to select your skin from the car selection screen - see bottom left of this image. No need for all this other complexity it seems to me. As far as I'm aware (and Nigel tell me if I'm wrong) we do not modify original mods for the server installations as that's just inviting trouble with mismatches.
did you get on the server as I just keep getting kicked. server does not recognize vehicle. what files & where do you have them in your own setup
the skins used in the URD races have to be uploaded onto the server, or they wouldn't be seen or downloaded to the players setup. I think my solution is better it works & all the additional are all in one folder outside of the teams folder
After more testing I agree with you John. I'll look into getting the skins added for the next race at Brands Hatch on Nov 6th (too late to get them on for today's race)
