I calculated my chance of surviving a single timed lap. Its 13.04% chance of success!!

    It's actually 13.04% x 2 = 26.08%, because damage is 50% for this track and the whole series. :D

But I slightly disagree. You can go as fast or as slow as you want. You can even take it pretty safe and drive by all the wreckage beside the road. You know ... The Hare & the Tortoise ...

    The Hare & the Tortoise

A Hare was making fun of the Tortoise one day for being so slow.

"Do you ever get anywhere?" he asked with a mocking laugh.

"Yes," replied the Tortoise, "and I get there sooner than you think. I'll run you a race and prove it."

The Hare was much amused at the idea of running a race with the Tortoise, but for the fun of the thing he agreed. So the Fox, who had consented to act as judge, marked the distance and started the runners off.

The Hare was soon far out of sight, and to make the Tortoise feel very deeply how ridiculous it was for him to try a race with a Hare, he lay down beside the course to take a nap until the Tortoise should catch up.

The Tortoise meanwhile kept going slowly but steadily, and, after a time, passed the place where the Hare was sleeping. But the Hare slept on very peacefully; and when at last he did wake up, the Tortoise was near the goal. The Hare now ran his swiftest, but he could not overtake the Tortoise in time.

The race is not always to the swift.

    Q had traffic
R good start settling in but hit left side, took next fence from wrong side and lost 9 seconds which i then chased for 40minutes?
Anyhow got really into flow of things and last lap was going to be the ultimate battle, there was just no place to try to pass so had to stick close till the back straights.
But as usual, and specially on the car/track combo like this where every bounce counts, you go on your limit for long period of time and then something brakes the flow and so came the mistake and had no chance to try the ultimate pass on last brake after long straight!!
Well deserved @Maddie Shepherd and welcome back to SRO!!

The Crimson Pirate will be back!!111 Stay tuned!!!2212

Good evening, congratulations to everyone! It was my first time with this type of car, and even with the practice I did, I was completely off the pace and not comfortable. As expected, I lost the rear on my own and went straight into a tree :(. After retiring, at least I was able to follow the stream, and from what I saw it looked just as hard as driving. The cars are really fun, but the track was terrifying. Looking forward to making up for it in the next race.

After a nervous first lap, I fell in with @Ben Summers for a couple of great laps of racing. I rolled my car on the way out of Pescara, damaged my steering, and struggled badly as the car became very dangerous after braking. Tried to pit but nothing happened (no repairs) so had to continue on again. I suspected Ben had the same issue as we were equally matched.
Unfortunately, Ben moved over for me and crashed and lost a wheel on the straight back to Pescara, bad luck.
Next lap, I hit a tree on the ridge, tumbled down into the valley and enjoyed a long, slow climb back up to the road. My steering seemed better after this! Pulled over to let the two leaders go by then pushed on until the finish.
    Great fun thank you.

Qualy lap was hooked up and I was really happy with it. Could have gained a bit more in some corners but only found out about those during the race.

Race start was solid and I kept Toni behind and pulled out a slight gap. He dropped back on lap 3 or 4 and the gap grew to around 8-9 seconds so I lifted off a little but then I made a mistake into the last heavy braking zone and got heavy front damage, which lost me around 1.5 seconds a lap from then on due to the drag. Toni did a great job pulling me in and the gap was under 2 seconds as we got onto the final lap. I knew I was going to be a sitting duck so I pulled back my pace, thinking I could possibly fight back on the straight in his slipstream if I was passed. However, he made a mistake on one of the left-handers on the last lap which gave me some relief to coast to the finish.

Fun but stressful race but congrats to the podium and finishers!

I'm not sure why but my replay goes into slow motion with about 20 minutes to go. Does anyone know how to fix this?

I made a mistake during quallifying and lost time passing a car on its out lap. This put in my in 5th on the grid. I completely missed the start and after the first straight I was 7th. I quickly got back to 5th and could close the gap to P3 and P4. Made another braking mistake after the 2nd long straight and dropped back to 6th. I had minor suspension damage. Continuing the race I got back in 5th because John let me pass... The next two laps I got back to the rears of P3 and P4 (Julian and Mariusz). Julian made a mistake in the last turn of the track which made it possilbe for me to overtake them both on the finish line. In the twisty section it was easy to pull away but the gap to Toni was already 20s. When Mariusz crashed out in the penultimate lap I cruised to the finish line taking no risks anymore.

When I was driving the car and the track got rubbered in and the fuel load came less and maybe the front suspension damage however it was very minor my car felt understeary and I could not push anymore to squeeze out a 8.53... Congrats to Maddie, Toni and anyone who made it to the end. It is a tough track but very rewarding when you make it to the end...

    See you next week.

Me too... I think it is an rF2 thing. Had it before in the past as well. Do not know a work around for it.

I got hit during qualifying, which caused me to spin out just after the last straight. Luckily, my time still earned me 4th place! I managed to overtake Mariusz at the start and stayed in 3rd place for a while. After a while, I felt like I was blocking Mariusz and Gert-Jan until I made a mistake before the last corner, where they were able to overtake me. After that, Gert-Jan was able to pull away, and Mariusz and I battled it out a bit. I ended up going off the track again, which didn't cause any damage but cost me a lot of time, and I found myself 14 seconds behind Mariusz until he had a DNF. I'm very happy to finish 4th, as I didn't have the pace of the top three at all!

Try, while running the replay, pressing "R". You will see that it starts to buffer the video. Sometimes that helps.

How do you all rate this track as a driving experience? Was it fun or pulling teeth?

Fun layout, difficult as hell and couldn't tell what the car was going to do because of the bumps.

I saw on the broadcast (Thanks Neil!) that you pitted from the start/finish straight. That doesn't work. You have to pit through the official pit entry just before the last corner on the right.

I tried Pescara with the F1 Legends mod (the best rF2 F1 1967 mod around).
You have a lot more grip and the bumps are taken pretty easy without unbalancing the car.
