    That list is only for the car / skin selection.
    You would still need to sign up for the series :)

    Yeah, sorry for the misunderstanding, but I wouldn't worry about being on the waiting list. There are always people signing out before the race.

    How does that signing out works? As I'm new and on the waiting list, I'd just like to know how that process works, before the actual race. Do you have to manually do something? Is it something like if you're not on the server with say 15 minutes to go in Q, a spot opens up and first driver on the waiting list can see the pass on the forum?

    On a more racing related note, I put in a couple of laps on the server last night, and I was 6 seconds slower than the next slowest time on the server. Anybody willing to share a setup for Nissan?
    Or some general setup pointers, what to test? I set the final gear ratio to highest value, and on the long straight I reach max speed maybe half way, and then keep overeving the engine till the end of the straight (max speed being 285kph if I remember correctly).

    BTW, the video on the first page is really great, for watching and learning how to drive the track.

    You can race if some people above you on the list sign out of the race and you become a "green" light. It's up to the people signing out to do this in time.
    Once you are a green light, you can see the race password for the server and you can race.

    People have been practising a long time for this first event, because the server has been up a long time. They know all about the fastes lines and entry and exit speed. You just need a bit more practise to catch up.

    Here is a setup for the Nissan for Highlands Long. My best time was a 3.55.xxx on race setup. The race fuel is not correct. You need a full tank and a bit because the race is 60 minutes:

    Thanks for the setup. If you need more than full tank than we need to do a pitstop?

    What if people don't sign out (I assume this is some option on the forum I, as a reserve, don't see), and then don't show up for the race?

    Yes, there will be pitstops for fuel.

    It's bad manners if people don't sign out and don't show up. Nothing I can do prior to the race as some people only show up 5 minutes before qual. But I have 3 people on my list to remove from the series as they did not post their choice of car and skin. Every car has to be specially assigned to a member in Assetto Corsa, otherwise, they will take someone else's car on the server and we can't have that.

    I'm pleased to report at this time that business matters that have hampered my attendance in the AC Fiat series on Thursdays have now been resolved in my favour and our opening event in this series was under threat, too. No longer. See you on the grid, chaps! :)

    There is something wrong with the car assignments on the server. I was getting Nissan #57 tonight instead of the #51.

    Those are temp skins. Not all are assigned yet. The final server settings go on tomorrow. I'm waiting for a GUID nr. from someone. :)
