Brilliant first outing for the team, and definitely a well deserved win, Congrats bud.

I found qualifying hard to get a clear lap with all the traffic, was a little off my PB but never the less I was happy with the result.
Race plan was just to take things easy as possible and keep myself out the barriers and try not to think about what's going on in front or behind me and hopefully I'd pick up some places of other ppl mistakes, more than happy with 4th in the end, On to the next!

This has got to be up there with one of the hardest races I have done. With the heat and recently moving to a DD wheel this was always going to be a challenge of concentration while dripping with sweat!

I got a good launch and saw the car going right so I went left through a car sized gap. I stayed alongside @Jason Whited around T1 but I think he must have understeered into me which bounced me into the wall, then into him again. Was lucky to not get too much damage. It was treacherous up the hill but I still gain momentum with my nose up the inside but I knew I would lose out in the next turn so ducked in behind.

Then did my best to get my head down and concentrate on putting in laptimes, not hitting barriers and not locking tyres. Jason's car started smoking ahead so they pitted shortly after clearing the road ahead. For the next 45 mins I was pressured lap after lap by @Barrett Erickson. Apologies to Barrett for my inconsistent braking into the chicane nearly every lap, I just could not get it right!! I think maybe they made a mistake or had to do a drive through for track limits which gave me breathing space. I think I was up to about 8 out of 10 which made me nervous in the final few laps.

Chuffed with 6th (starting from 10th), also great team result for the first round!

I will be glad for the next round to stretch the legs of these cars and not be confined between walls!!

@Neil Wood , sorry about that. I'd totally forgot that happened (because of other issues I had that prematurely ended my attempt at the race) and didn't realize anything more than us rubbing doors happened. Apologies.

I screwed up from the get go. Didn't readjust my radiator cooling after quali; realized it too late. Was smoking like a freight train within a few laps, and while the car may have went a while like that, I went ahead and pulled off because I know all that smoke blowing was distracting to others (and a car smoking like that should be black flagged anyways, tbh! lol)

Also forgot to turn on my CC. Well, had it on but needed to restart it, so that wasn't working either at race start.
All and all, an event to forget for me. Or rather, learn from! Because I intend to be much better prepared on that front for today's RBR race.
