One more question lads. Stats say standing start, but event page says rolling start. Which one will be used? I suspect the formation lap with rolling start?

Correct. Race starts entering the last corner.

Just to be clear : because rf2's built in form laps have issues sometimes we at SRO use a "manual formation lap " meaning the game will be set to use the standing start and it will count down like normal ,on the green light DO NOT LAUNCH ! follow the car ahead for the "manual formation lap" approx. 90-100kph, then the race starts when you reach the exit of last turn ..

Sorry to Rob Milliken for punting him. A DPI braked early to pass you on the inside and I didn't expect that. I did my drive-through. :)

Great chase since made things very difficult for myself.
Lighting had changed and i really couldnt see my brakemarker so made a nice and big spin that took over 10% of my tires.
2nd stint was going ok but then cup car lost its rear and i paniced and spun again.
@John vd Geest wicked stuff going through traffic!
@Caitlin Penny isnt it funny when chaser spins, you get to take deep breath and relax and then something happens to you? what happened anyhow?
    great win, gz!

gj to all, traffic went without bigger issues, was fun to take part!

    Thank you!

    Quali:
My game crashed again, just like it often does at the start of quali, and as a result I only got one run on track. I could only manage P3 in class.

    Race:
I followed Toni and John for the first few laps, but then Toni had his spin and we ended up fighting for the lead. It went on for such a long time, because I just couldn't get past him. In the end I made a move in traffic and we rubbed doors, but I made it through. Thank you so much for the brilliant fight @John vd Geest ! It was so much fun!
John then pitted and gave me some clean air, and I realised that he was two-stopping so I decided to start tyre saving and focusing on smoothly passing traffic. It was a lot of fun, actually!
Eventually I pitted, and a few minutes after I came out I was surprised to find John and Didier right in front of me, both a lap down. I struggled to pass them for a while, until John touched Didier and bounced into me and then decided to retire. Luckily I didn't have much damage, but it did mean that Toni had caught up to about 10 seconds behind me.
No offence to Toni, but I'm glad he had his spin, because otherwise he would have won! I picked up a drive-through for track limits at the grassy chicane, which would have put him ahead had he not been delayed. In the end, I was able to keep the gap at about 7 seconds and win. Thank you for the race, @Toni Talvitie ! You were really fast today.

I'm so happy with this win. It's the longest race I've ever won (Double the length of my previous best!) and it was also one of the cleanest. Thank you for all the lovely clean fun, guys! I can't wait to race you all again at round 2!

I thought you were driving for GEAR, so I let you pass because you were faster. Now I see you were driving for the competition. I feel cheated. :p

I knew you were going to try to get on my inside as you had practised the move a lap before. I was preparing for it, but wasn't close enough to the right and gave you room to get alongside. Briljant move. Grats on the win. :)
Didier went a bit slow into a corner and surprised me with that. He kept pointed straight luckily. Probably because he had less wing than me as he pulled away quite easily on the straights.

Did you stop only once? Remarkable. That's a great setup. I had just 1 red square left after 46 litres. :)

I made a mistake, I downshifted in first gear, which slowed me down; Sorry about that.
in addition I did not see that Caithlin was one lap ahead.

As a side note, I want to mention that this is the first Multiclass series at Sim Racing Online where we have used 3 classes with 3 different mods.
That is quite unique and you will not see that at many other sites. You can get as many mods on the track as you like, but the trick is in the result processing.
Normally you are classified as you finish from 1 to 32 within 1 mod, but in this case, you have 3 first places, 3 second places ect. with three different mods. That is a great technical achievement.

I would like to thank our Tech wizard Mark Hightree for making this possible.
