    3 spins 3rd spot.
Nick went to straights like a missile. Maybe i had too much wing then or wrong ratios.
Threw the dice and took a risk with pit stop and lap markers and thought i had it but then saw P2 behind me doing 1.31.3 and that caused slight panic!
Nothing i could do and then panic brake to the chicane, would have punted P1 and side ways it went. Then i spun it and had little spin on 1st stint also.
In the end Phillip was closing and was so much faster than me so no point causing drama in the end.
Braking was not so easy today...

somebody forgot to watch the daytona 24h start yesterday as I saw Phillip get punted in turn 1, from then on it was me and Toni, managed to build a 4 sec gap. Near the end of the first stint lost the rear into the slow left hander at the penultimate corner on worn tyres, carbon copy of my mistake in the rfactor 2 hypercar series previously, had slight damage after minor contact with the wall but nothing worth time fixing, lost further time in traffic before pitting which cost me my 4 sec gap and the lead, then I was on a mission to hunt down Toni with a 4 sec gap to close, he was unlucky with traffic (the guy in the orange mclaren who was making every lmp2 drivers life hard) which allowed me to get on his tail, slipstreamed on the straight and then took him on the inside into turn 1, saw him loose the rear into the chicane in my mirror and went straight on the grass as was expecting to be Tboned but luckily got away with it, from then on it was about looking after the tyres to bring it home.

Well done to Phillip for being best of the rest despite his misfortune at the start, shame we could not have had a 3 way battle.

Probably even 4 way, as we miss my teammate Matej. I am a sort of heartbroken about that, he dragged me into LMU, helped me to get better and was the guy to beat in the prep series. I hope the good result helps a bit but I know how much he would liked to race with us.

Regarding turn, more less the same happened in the prep series too. My position was probably not great and I braked a bit too much in the last 50 meters, which enabled the mess. Although, my contact with Toni which send me into a half-spin was because I saw two flashings in my mirror and therefore I hesitated to turn in. If I had turned in the crash would have been different but most likely same result. Thanks to all GT3 to avoid me, my car was damaged but the intial contact did not cause any suspesion damage.
That allowed me to start a catch up. Passing was hard and I was not that good on the brakes, but eventually I cleared (Gert-Jan had probably a disco?) everybody except the first two.
I was happy with third and I thought that was it, also because I had the silly idea to change all tyres except for the right front. Maybe that was not that silly but I selected the front left not to change.
But some how the gap to the front decreased and I had suddenly Toni in sight, until I lost 5 seconds in another half spin. So it had to be the last sector. Damage limitation, pace was good, traffic management was also better than last time, of course still room for improvement.

I am not too cheered up when I think of Rettifilo next time, anyway, I leave the video of the first lap incident here (plus last laps), if anybody wants to see/review it.

Well, my race review can be short ... I totally suck at LMU.
But I still have to give it the time it deserves. The next series will also be LMU, so I have plenty of time to learn :)

I mostlly do daily races on LMU nowadays when I find some time to race.. Mostly wednesday evening, but yesterday I had the time to join a race again. Had little time to prep so made a quick setup offline that seemed to work pretty ok. I did one qually run and was happy to start on P4. Start went well but had to take the long way round to avoid the T1 carnage. After the start I was in P3 trying to find my oe\wn rhytm, because I did not have the speed or consistancy of Toni and Nick. It all went quite well except for two little spins bleeding off the brakes too late which is still something I have not mastered yet on the LMP2. After 30 minutes I had a disconnect sending me back to the main menu. I do not know why but I had a windows defender pop open afterwards. When I returned to the server I was 2 laps down and nothing really to race for. I made my pitstop and two laps later I was pushing too hard losing the car over curbes in the left kink before the long right banked corner. Lost my rear wing and called it quits. Hope to be able to participate in one or more races in this series because I really like LMU as a sim. Hope to be back soon... Hope to do the Le Mans event. CU

Dont know what I have to do to get even close to the pace of the fast guys. I must be doing something very wrong being so far off
I hit the barrier on lap 6 and pit stop was going to be very very long so i retired

Maybe one of the fast LMP2 guys can share his Fuji Setup so you and I can learn the LMU setup voodoo ... :)

I attached mine... This gave me a controllable race car with some descent speed. @John vd Geest I was not the fastest guy out there but hope it helps. In my case it gained me 1.5s compared with the default setup with full fuel load.

Apart from my spin at turn 5 on the first lap, on cold tyres, I had a good race. Managed to not make any more mistakes, spent most of the race chasing Barrett and was able to take 9th by the end. No issues from my side with any LMPs, the race seemed pretty clean from my view.

Im liking LMU as a more up to date rF2 but I hope they introduce some pit stop planning for the setups down the line... Not sure if the devs are working on this

Grats podiums and see you at the next round in Monza where it will hopefully be dry and warm ;)

    Hi Gert-Jan,
Could you please upload the actual setup instead of a text file?

I cannot upload .svm, so I renamed it to .txt to be able to share it. Rename the file from .txt to .svm and add it to your userdata/player/settings folder, in the location of the track I think Fuji WEC.
