Good race yesterday, just before the race I found a good setup, car was confortable and fast to drive. unfortunately the excessive fuel consumption of my Toyota forces me to stop very long in the pits and has to always compete with the full tank of fuel at the beginning of each stint.

Grats podium, thanks a lot Caitlin for the amazing broadcasting!

    That's an accurate description :p.
I had to make to car wide where it mattered. The Porsche is a fast car with more straight line speed. Luckily the Porsche only starts to gain more speed in 5th gear because of the longer gears. When I had a little gap to you, I could just hold on.

There are 6 Porsches available without GUID assignments. That's why.

Try the "Scandinavian Flick". And use the handbrake.

The second race in AC should have been better, but it wasn't:(
two weeks of preparation, breaking individual records, and when the race day has come, it turns out that I am 5 seconds behind the leader, but it's just me and my Alfa.

Ultimately, the result is as expected, but the driving style leaves much to be desired.
But my setup is evolving, maybe there will be a race I can be happy with:)

Not so exciting race for me this time. After the pit stop I took more chances to close the gap to Jeffray and ...I crashed, but he drove a perfect race!
Grats to all of you and till next time ;)

I had almost default setup and my car understeers a lot, so I have to drive really tight lines. Not sure about lap 1, I think I was quite on the outside to pass some cars since I had a really bad start. I felt my back sliding away from your contact and immediately counter steered the right amount to keep me going. Too bad it didn't work out for you.

Happy with P3 since a lot of the cars I battled and passed felt faster than me. At least it looked like they could keep up with certain ease and certainly gain on me in the midfield. I was on vacation away from home for a few days and I was surprised to see so many guys doing quick lap times. I came home a few hours before the race and didn't have time to work on the setup. Bit disappointed Jeffrey didn't need that extra stop he was talking about because the tires wouldn't hold. Kiril was really fast in the Porsche this time, well done there!

Broadcast was nice to watch afterwards, lot's of clean battles this time! Caitlin, could you move the camera to a player car before the race? You can do this with keyboard controls CTRL+NUM1 and CTRL-NUM3. Switches camera to other cars, that way we don't have to miss the start :)

Clean racing otherwise from everyone from my point of view, thanks!

Yes I saw on the replay that your car had just bounced a little and that you had recovered it very well, thankfully. Still, of course my apologies for that.

enjoyed watching that back, quite a master class in defensive driving John, frustrating as it was for me trying to find a way past! The Escorts pace and cornering speeds really surprised me tbh, I expected to draft past you on the final long straight every time but just didn’t happen no matter how early I got on the throttle.

What was that pit entry John exactly ? :D
I thought we'd receive a penalty if getting in the pit lane like a torpedo as you did.. Could you clarify the rule for next events please ? I personally would prefer us to observe the speed limit but you're the boss..

Your gears are longer and mine are short, so I can accelerate quicker but I red line faster. And by the time you can make a pass, we're at the end of the straight. The car also has great cornering speed and isn't oversteer sensitive like the Porsche. That helps. :)
At Mexico, you have much more time to build up speed coming out of the fast last right-hander and then the very long straight. I'll be a sitting duck.

On default, Assetto Corsa slows you down automatically when crossing the pit entry line without penalty, as you know. And you can drive through the car in front. Everybody can do that. There's no need to make a rule for it. It's perfectly save.

Didnt know that either, so no matter what your approach speed it will stop you enough to avoid a penalty? o_O Seems hard to do from flat out down to 60kmh (or whatever the pitlane speed is) within the fraction of crossing the pit entry line.
Not quite in the spirit of racing though is it? I always dread a penalty so slow down appropriately on approach.

It's the original game design. You can't get a pitlane speed penalty, no matter how fast you go in.

I didn't know that. I always observed the pit limit in race. It's weird. Why put a speed limit at all then ?
Still, as it's immersive killer, I'll keep doing this way.

There is a pit lane speed limit that automatically kicks in when you cross the entry line.
But if I was Kunos, I would have put the slow down zone before the entry line so you would come in at a normal speed.

Reminded me of the incident we had with the F1 1975 on this track on lap 1
