The server decided to kick me out before the last round!
I'm skipping the rest of the races!

 

Oh no! I wondered why I wasn't last!
Great circuit tonight! Bit of a solo ride but slowly lost contact with @Edward Jones after a couple of wall rides. My laptimes seemed to be improving but my only chance of catching Ed was if he made a serious error. (He didn't).
Finally got lapped by @Roy Cop and @Kiril Kirilov with about 10 mins to go.
Well done all and thank you to the lappers who were patient as I tried to keep out of the way. I've raced in some forums where I've just been barged off track so I'm grateful to you SRO gentlemen.

 

Tough race was this one. In qualy I manage to hit the wall(s) in both my laps and was able to get only 7th position on grid (but with the feeling I could get a better time).
I had a good start and have one position. First couple of laps was pretty intense, but I was lucky to not make any big mistake. In the first half of the race I was struggling between Paul (on 5) and Philipp (on 7). This was the hardest part of the race because I have to split my two eyes, one in front and one in back trying to stay how close I could to Paul and trying to avoid being passed by Philipp. Thank you guys for a good race.
This nightmare ended when Paul made a small mistake, and I was able to pass and take the 5th place. From now on, my only goal was to keep it away of walls. It worked (I had a good consistency 99.48. On this track I think it is a good one) and at checkered flag, with the bad luck of Kai, I've finished on 4th.

I downloaded a similar version direct from Race department (V0.9)

 

I downloaded about 2 hours after the race and the download worked fine for me.

 

So this race, what can I say...
Never raced this track before as I never seemed to be able to get whatever car I was using through the Melco hairpin. But after the comments of a certain driver regarding last race and those being made throughout the Audi TT series I decided to take part anyway. After a few tries in practice mode I found a setup and racing line that worked for the Mini on that corner. A plus was that said setup worked great on most of the corner on this track.
Getting that sorted I was able to do 1.37.0 without hitting the wall. Judging by the lap times that some of you had done in an earlier race (could be seen in the forum) that would make me a full second faster than the rest.
So, quali started. The decision to have single cars on track was a good one for this track.
Did a 1.36.7 on the first flyer so things were looking good. 2nd flying lap I made a few smaller errors but was till fast. Then 3rd and final flying lap I posted a 1.36.5
Had lost about 0.2 sec in the last sector. That saw Kiril take pole. Where his speed came from, god only knows as the fasted time he did in the race posted on the forum he only managed a 1.38.5 So he gained 2 full seconds somewhere. He had pole. Well done.
Race...
I had a blinder of a start and Kirils car seemed to bog down. The car in right behind me had an equally great start. Don't know who that was.
Anyway, arrived at the first corner in 1st spot. Figured I would do 2 or 3 quali laps to create a gap and then start taking less risks. Created a small gap that was big enough for the car behind not to enjoy the draft on the very long straight. So I started to ease off a little. That had Kiril decrease the gap slightly. Back to doing insane laps it was to maintain the gap.
Did a few good ones, but then started to brush the wall on certain corners. Had to take it easy so that I wouldn't damage the car.
Came up to a backmarker. All respect to the guy, he was trying to get out of the way but as it was in the twisty bits he had nowhere to go really. At turn 9 I had a very good exit and expected him to go left. Slight misunderstanding and I tapped him in the rear. No harm done, but it would be better to have everyone in voice chat so that in a situation like that there can be some communication. In my league being in voice is mandatory and voice on push to talk. No idle chatter allowed, but its very good in use. But, not my League and the rules here as good as any.
I did notice that Kiril suddenly get a fasted lap awarded by the server that was slower than his qualifying lap. That had me thinking he might have brushed the wall on his quali lap. That would be odd as no matter how the server is set in quali an invalid lap never counts. I might be mistaken.
Anyway, the race from then on was straight forward.

Looking at the replay there was some good racing being done. That's always nice.
Next race in 2 weeks on another technical track. I like those

Yeah, that was me Roy. So difficult to know what to do when you have a car bearing down you so you fast. I tried to stay on the side of the road that I was already on I think) but its a game of mind reading sometimes. The tap was nothing, no problem. I was just glad you got by. I lost a lot of time when I slowed to let Kiril through before the hairpin complex but you guys were having a hell of a race and I was just trying to get some more points on the board.

 

I just downloaded it thanks Ken. Maybe just a timing issue.

 

Like I said, catching up to you at the wrong place on the track followed by a small misunderstanding. Next time I'll shout really load. Who knows you might hear me
And about the race, yeah, that was a tough one
