Totaly agree, John! And I have something to add.
Can you please remind everyone of our "staying between the lines" rule. I don't want to look like a donkey again when I race between the lines and watch people draw their own track just because it's faster. And no, I don't talk if you make a mistake (I'll probably make that too), but when this "mistake" surprisingly shows -0.2s in the delta. Then you could kindly consider stepping off the gas pedal a bit. Thanks in advance! I hope I can make it to the race and have a lot of fun with you guys.

John, at what exact point you will set the final weather for the race? 24 hours before start? 48 hours before start? I missed this meeting

Are you okay with it that I remove you if there are red lights that want to race? Or is there a chance that you might be there?

    Hi Kiril,
I will do a second check tomorrow for track limits, but the normal rule is as before, always a minimum of 2 wheels inside the white line.
The weather is set as per prediction in post #13 on the server, but if it changes short before the race, I will adjust it. :)

Manual formation lap with standing start explanation

Most of you will know how a manual formation lap with a standing start is executed in sim racing, but for those who are unfamiliar I will explain:

    1. When you click the "Race" button and go to the starting grid, you will see the red starting lights flashing and a message will appear in the bottom left of your screen after some time that you can start the formation lap. That is when the pole sitter starts the formation lap and we all follow him.
    2. The formation lap is done in double file in qual order at approximately 120 km/h. The lap is used to warm your tires and brakes a little bit.
    3. At the end of the formation lap you must line up in a red square box on the starting straight to start the race.
    4. Once everybody is lined up in their red box, the starting lights will count down. When the green light comes on, the race starts.

    Track limits are free

The track limits on this Red Bull track version are very forgiving and because the curbstones are flat, the possibility of cutting corners is very inviting.

In order to prevent a storm of protests, finger pointing and ongoing discussions post-race, I'm hereby officially giving the track limits free so that it's the same for everybody and no one can take extra time advantage. As said, there are in-game track limits and if the game gives you a penalty, that's on you.

This exception to the SRO track limit rules only applies to this particular event and is not an overall change to our track limit policy.

Those yellow sausage kerbs are lethal if you cut too much anyway.

I don't see mentioning of the voice comms in the rules? Does SRO use any type of voice comm to transmit messages during qualy/race?

It's a shame that the bandit line is mandatory as it's so much quicker especially in T1 but I see why we need the ruling.

One question. Is overtaking allowed while technically off the circuit?

Good thing I checked the thread... guess I need to relearn T1... : )

Pretty sure 'free' track limit means the track just got wider... so that should include/allow overtaking.

We'll have to see how it come out tomorrow, but my guess is... it will look ugly on the broadcast... better warn the host.

Downloaded yesterday and drove couple of laps.
Car was how i expected it ro be but...,...
    Gear protection system...is total bullshit.
Takes half of the driving part away and spoils enjoyment. What a waste.

No, that would constitute total anarchy :).

This "no track limit exception" only applies to 1 car drifting too much over the line or driving too much inside the corner on the apex.
If we allow cars to fight for position outside the track limits, then we could just as well abolish civilization.
If you are overtaken outside the track limits (unless there is an accident situation etc.), then you have grounds for protest.

No, there is no voice comm at SRO. The rules are laid out before the race and should therefore be clear to everybody during the event.
