My first LMU race. Got disqualified after 3 laps. No clue why. I did cut the track a couple of time, once to avoid contact. But a DQ? Harsh. This league may be too serious for me :)

Sorry the game took too long to update and I missed the start. Didn’t realise the update was so large in size.

I haven’t been able to practice anyway so I would’ve struggled I would imagine. Apologies.

yeah, the LMU start process still needs work, Mark. I get caught all the time (it shows up in a red box just under the virtual mirror).

One of the new features to the hud is exactly that= other driver info regarding penalties & such ..Mark did you have the leaderboard up? or the info Pannell where it shows if you have peniltys?

Sorry bout the end, Hue. Didnt realize you lost speed so quickly o_O

Btw, dont remember ever finishing a race without any fuel. Luckily these things roll pretty far if you change to N quick enough :)

Would be nice if Ed Jones left me room on turn 1 lap 4. I had the inside line and was left no room. Hence the DNF...

I didn't see any message about a penalty. With RF2 you can plainly see it and I didn't have the huds displayed. I don't know why I would have been penalized except maybe when the green flag dropped I got a slight jump on the driver in front of me and I may have passed him before start/finish line. I'm pretty sure I was lined up correctly before the green. But anyway, I learned a lot and like the sim so I look forward to the next event. I have a lot to learn about car setup

The race that got away, knew it might be tight on fuel even with a full tank but did not realize it would be that tight until 10 mins to go, was impossible to save enough even running in SC on the straights with only 10 mins left and surrendering the lead as a result, spa is gonna be even harder with more full throttle, lift and coast races are not my idea of fun but oh well.

Well done Daniel and Robin and Barrett for getting the first LMU podium on SRO.

As we discover how this sim works we will need to tweak a few things .. I like Lornes suggestion of 2xfuel & tires ..that would force a pitstop & eliminate the fuel advantage some cars have .. I think we should put it to a vote for the remainder of the series to run 2x fuel & tires..

I think even on x2 fuel it’ll be the same some cars will just struggle and may still need a splash I think the fuel is alittle nit part of the bop to equal the performance some other cars have,
Terrible race at the start but was kept honist all the way tried so hard to be fast and constantly save fuel lift cost everywhere sat in slipstream short shifting even had to use safety car map a few time which left me open on last lap still great clean racing I really enjoyed that

Or we could just shorten the race to 50-55mins so fuel save is not an issue or lengthen it to 1:15 so everyone has to make a splash, I agree with Neil, some cars seem to be better on fuel than others, even with x2 fuel its basically the same boat and would likely still need a splash at the end at spa.

Ok, these are all good suggestions .. And yes the fuel consumption is as it is in the real cars where the Ferrari is quick but gets the worst mileage..:p
How were the tires holding up with the 60 min race?
I might add 15 min to the events, That way drivers know they can't make a no-stopper and need to plan their strategies!

I have been racing with Global Racing Drivers Club on Mondays with 2X fuel and 2X tires since January with not a single difficulty. This group seems very timid to me. Buy the DLC's and lets move on... It is surpassing ACC at the moment in as far as engagement. Yes there are financials but the path going forward is not just Rf2.

think you have miss interpreted what I’m saying, I don’t have no problem with x2 fuel or tyres but times x2 fuel is just multiple of x1 where if your tight on making 60mins on x1 you gunna be tight on making 30mins at x2 fuel, and I have all the lmu dlc, but this is currently the first lmu series being running here the admins are keeping it simple and easy to learn the game and stuff but still provide good racing,
For I like being tight on fuel because it’s not just about weather the cars can make all them gte cars can make an hour it just depend on the driver how aggressive you are in downshifts up shift can you just lift alittle here and there are you willing to tuck in behind somone and fuel save, or do you wanna check out and push then try and save, for me it makes it way more fun and this shows in on track action aswell

Yeah extra 15 mins would work tbf, tires felt ok although crew chief was telling me the tire temps were low, if this was the case the guys that took mediums must have struggled
I’m gunna review motec tire data later

tyres were fine, softs can do an hour if you look after them, with no big lock ups or excessive wheel spin, but may not apply to all tracks depending on how many fast corners there are.

The problem is that if you have no one near you then you can not employ that strategy and are thus at a disadvantage and it then becomes a lottery rather than a race, i'm sure Daniel was able to save the required fuel by running behind robin for a while in order to get to the end, being the leader it was impossible for me to do the same.
