rFactor 2 Round 2 Spa Francorshamps Endurance - Sun Oct 6, 2024

This may be a replay thing but even the flag was waving with still one lap to go. Only my crew chief knew we still had another lap.

 

My race was a lot of fun. Close racing beginning and end. Although the end may have been a lot duller if i hadn't turned the pit limiter off at the non-endurance version's pit exit. Slowed way down, but it didn't matter.

But because i stretched the 1st stint to the max, i had low fuel and fresh tires to put on a charge. Stretched the gap i had as much as possible before taking the "Stop/Go" as late as allowed. Lost a couple positions doing that, which left me quite a bit of ground to recover before i could challenge to get them back, but made for a very intense and enjoyable final stint.

[i should note that i benefited in that charge from an unfortunate incident at Raidillon which left me with one less car to pass.]

 

Apologies I don't really use Kmh , I figured 90 mph was about right, should of checked before hand, In my defence I don't start from pole very often .

I should also apologize to Stephen, I was involved in that crash too. Really sorry about that contact that sent you into the wall, Stephan. I was trying to be as far left as possible, but it was not enough :/

Really nice race for me, except the micro freeze problem during qualy. I was running 10sec slower than I should. I think it is linked to the skin problem ... yes Nick, you stole my skin
So I disconnected and went back with a standard skin, and ererything was fine, then. I was able to race properly (especialy the pit stop that I finally did without messing it, a premiere for me) and get back to third place at the very end of the race, with a splash and dash pit stop that allowed me to get back on track just in front of Kostas

I can only apologise for this I caught the Audi at the top of Radillion and had a split second to go left into another car or right down the grass. I didn’t even realise I’d made contact with the other car until I saw the investigation and watched the replay back.
Hindsight is 20/20 and I should’ve lifted off.

 

Will the points for LMH class be updated? or is there protests still pending?
