    Epic 1st half ( allmost ).
I made little change on car after Q and it did feel better in race now and felt comfortable. Just that there was no pass on P1 so pressure pressure pressure until i got bad air and pressure got me. Good stuff.
Another good moment was when i was racing Mazurek. Showed inside, he cover little, went back and look people! He kept his line that was chosen. Only one line change is allowed.
On rFactor 2 races, this isnt happening that someone racing by the book. It really made my day and enjoyed every bit of that "eventfull" 2nd stint aswell.
SRO AC races are more respectfull than anything else and tbh today it was me bombing someone. Even though i would have made the corner, it was just too late move. Sorry Laurent, my fault totally.
I did loose focus after my "pressurecrash", but felt happy whole race.

I do disagree little on bad track part. It was very challenging track to follow super close, specially that fast left - right. Differences in setup showed nicely and working on that pass... was prepared to work on it full 60 minutes and what a race would that been!

    cheers and gg

If this track was hard to pass.... Lake Garnett is going to be IMPOSSIBLE!

Decent track, but bad track for these cars. You carry so much speed into some of the corners and there's no reference point for where the apex is.

Well good for an airfield?! ;D

Yeah, I would not blame the airfield either, it is the car, whose destiny is to crash. Nothing one can do, it is inevitable.
Even if you drive slow with an even slower but stable setup, it just has to crash at some point. Not sure what was the inspiration for this death trap, I would guess the Lotus 80 and in real life, it would be reasonable to do the Reutemann and to refuse to drive it.

Anyway, I tried my best and it was not good enough. Not sure why I had to crash with 4 minutes to go with not pressure from behind. Maybe I got dizzy by getting lapped each other lap or it was the destiny of the car (I guess I mentioned that already). Kudos to those who were able to outsmart(drive) destiny.

Agree, on hindsight it wasn't the best choice for this car. I first tested it with the GTX mod and like the track with that car combo.
I think Philipp is right. You had to crash at some point with this car on this track. For me turn 1 and 2 were especially problematic. I was always fighting massive oversteer going in those. Did not give me confidence at all doing the lap. And I was passed by everyone and their sister!
Grats to Kiril for the win. Impressive on this track. :)

Blistering pace from Kiril in qualifying ! He certainly has found a stable setup he can push with confidence. I think there was not much more in mine, I was chipping away at my best time but the gap to Kiril was too big.

Race start wasn't very good, I got sideways off the line and steered towards the hay bale on the side of the track, had to let go off the throttle and that lost me some positions off the line. I settled in in P5 but I struggled to get temperature in my tires. Lap 5 I went too deep into T1 and hit the hay bales slightly but the damage I got was substantial.. Major front wing damage and I had vibrations through my steering wheel and my chassis was also vibrating the whole time. Felt kind of like a flat spot but I didn't have one. I was losing about 1 second per lap due to the damage. Then on the same lap 2 cars crashed into the chicane at the end of the lap, I thought there was enough space to get between the stranded car and the hay bale but I clipped the hay bale, which spun me around. I was in P10 after just 5 laps and a badly damaged car. At this point I thought I wouldn't make it to the end. I kept going hoping for some mistakes from others and I made my way through the field. I tried to adapt my driving to the damage I had best I could. I managed to close the gap to Michal, he went into the pits earlier than me and after my stop I was ahead of him. Unfortunately Toni dive-bombed me in the chicane and that allowed Michal to go through.. In the end I finished P3 thanks to Toni making some mistakes. Honestly happy with the result considering the damage I had. I wish I would have been able to fight for the lead but it turned out differently.

Congrats to Kiril, some serious pace there. Since you lapped the whole field, how about sharing that setup to even things out ? ;)

The long story short: I didn't have exceptional race pace this race. I had exceptionally poor race pace in the last race.

Now the long story: Unfortunately, I've had less and less time for sim racing lately. That's why I'm only competing in one championship at a time. For the first race, I barely changed the setup. I didn't do long stints and didn't even compare whether a race with a pit stop was faster. So I simply used the high downforce setting as it was and qualified with soft tires. Then I put on the hard tires for the race and hoped I could deliver a good race without a pit stop. That didn't work out at all. But as I've now seen from the experience from the second race: the soft tires combined with a pit stop are the much better alternative. They provide significantly more grip and wear out almost as quickly as the hard tires.

For this race, I first tried the high, mid, and low downforce settings. High was easy but slow. Mid was faster and low was uncontrollable for me (I think @Maddie Shepherd can confirm this). I chose the mid level, brought the car closer to the ground (the rake at the personally controllable oversteer level) and softened the suspension a bit to get through the first two bumpy corners. That was it. The rest was just lapping and trying to avoid the hay bales. I wasn't even happy with the setup, but I didn't have the time to change anything more. Yes, I lapped the whole field here, even though @Neil Wood didn't agree and wanted me to do another lap :D. But that was "only" because I was probably the only one who didn't crash. @Toni Talvitie was on me for half an hour. That was really cool, by the way, Toni. Next time we hope for more! The hardest part was not getting involved in another crash. Toni saw what was happening up front and didn't divebomb, even though he had the chance to do it once or twice. I appreciate that.

And last but not least: I wish you all a happy Easter and enjoy the time with your loved ones. See you on the next one!:)
