LOL Rob and Neil when I was "checking the back 40".

I struggled a lot with this track, Toni gave me some hints (thanks) but as his "spectecular" driving style suggest, it is not that easy to copy. So I had still to find something I felt comfortable with. Eventually it clicked in the race and then I enjoyed it. Also the 30 min sprint, I was not really sure about that, because my strategy was to protect my tyres, so it was a stretch to switch to pushing. I tried really hard get into the position to pass Björn, but I found no way by. Maybe it would be a bit different, if my strength comapred to Björn would not have been the last sector, because my passes from 9th to 5th all happened in the first sector. Well done Björn and of course both winners/podium.

For future, I need to improve my quali showing because starting from 8th (despite qualifying 7th o_O) did not help. At least it was not boring.

Apart from that, mutliclass is definitely tough here, I tried to not to force the issue, neither with the GTs nor opponents stuck behind a GT. Then it worked for me, but of course probably not for everyone. Sugo should be a bit better, but still not easy. But lets see.

Oh and thanks for the broadcast, nothing to complain, although the graphic for the schedules and the flags of the venues triggers me a bit :D

@Simon Barnes: Congrats on the podium. You deserved it. First of many.
@Philipp Pichler: Totally agree re the National flags of the various venues. I was trying to remember when we raced at Kyalami in this series :)
@John vd Geest: re: thoughts on this track; @Phil Brown nailed it in one word; 'Epic'. Clearly, the track was designed by a masochist :p but I really like it due to it's fast and flowing nature. I originally had doubts about it's suitability for a multi-class event, but, apart from the server crash and having to listen to Woodee talk to himself, the event went pretty well without incident. All the drivers, in both classes, were skilled enough and respectful enough to get the job done. I reckon you pulled a masterstroke there John by including this track and I hope to see Ascari Ronda on the roster again. (I also think the mod maker(s) did a great job with the track cameras, which (for me anyway) added to the excitement of watching the race.) My thoughts on the track are of course as a viewer, rather than a participant, having only been able to take part in practice and qually.
The race was certainly great to watch, or more accurately, it was a great race to watch, having so many close battles throughout both halves of the event. However, I don't mind admitting, it was also very painful to watch, rather than take part in :( It's currently 8 hours since the track announcer said @Rob Milliken's favourite sim-racing words; "Will all non-essential personnel please clear the grid" and I'm still bloody fuming at having missed the race  Also not particularly overjoyed at dropping from 2nd to 5th in the Championship. Roll on Sugo :)
Big congrats to @Toni Talvitie and @Phil Brown. You both drove magnificent races.

For an average driver, very challenging but good fun. It was the sort of track that demanded full attention at all times. Even a quick glance at the UI resulted in errors. It was extremely difficult for me with the multi-class, especially with RF2's poor UI for track position. I find it hard to judge exactly where the following car is, then it's in my mirror and passed me!

My thoughts exactly. Specially in sector 3, the long left hand. It's like a drone flies with the cars :)

I also think the track is pretty epic. No matter where you are on track, even driving alone, there is always something challenging coming up LOL.

Do you use the virtual mirror, or the side mirrors on the car?

Well, I took the Cobra for fuel saving as the Ferrari GT did 0.21 litres per lap more and I would have to save 6 litres.
But I'm not happy with the Cobra for its driving. I might take another GT car for the next round and start at the back.
But it was good fun in the GT class!

Yeah just noticed that, will have to get @Rob Milliken to double check his overlays folder for the next race :)

Added chapters to the broadcast so you can skip to the bits you wanna watch.

Shout out to my buddy Toni Talvitie for the win and his driving ...!! Was more like a Tokyo Drift event ...
Just when you think you've seen it all .... LOL! Lars was also smoking them up 0,5 seconds behind!

Toni and Lars through the corner!

Missing points for Mike Olson, Ben Summers and Gilles in the GTs?

Gilles did not take part in the races and the others didn't rejoin for the final sprint race.

Because they had already retired before the outage. Should still get a DNF and points?

    I will look into it.

I would think that, because points pay out all the way down that whatever points their last known positions before the server crash would pay out should be given ..

I agree that their points should be given. As it turns out, Mike Olsen was already DNF before the server crashed. So Ben is in P4 and Mike in P5 in the end result.
I have to contact Mark Hightree to add them to the result list on the back-end.
