Really enjoyed the action on track tonight, some great battles out on track! I hope we were able to capture at least some of it.
Well done to those that survived the night!

See you 2 weeks for the bumps of Sebring!!

Good to have a decent race for a change! Some really nice battles out there. I was surprised to keep @Philipp Pichler behind me for as long as I did — I felt like you were going to breeze past me in that last stint!
The result probably would’ve been very different without everyone else’s troubles, but I’ll definitely take it!

Well you can call it your way, I call it my way. I'd rather see your post being targeted to people who need some track education instead of finding an excuse and educate others how to avoid brainless drivers.
Nothing to do with skill, you can be slow but respectful. If you fight with leading group and you're 3 laps down, you take down P3 who's fighting for P2 - 3 times within 20 minutes - it's not a skill issue. 9
And looking for excuse for such a bad behaviour by telling people to learn how to avoid this sounds just abstract.
Remember it's Sunday, evening, some people go to work in morning yet they sign up and sit till late evening to make some fun out of this. Some people also put some efforts to get some practice and don't don't show up at Spa with 2.30 lap times. Any other League would ban for race for something like that and next race driver with such a low driving standard would he enforced to do practice laps and show the proof.
Finding an excuse for yesterday's action of that man is not the way of building high driving standards.

Apologies to @Stephen Wenham for the contact into turn 11 at the start of the race. Anchored up to avoid a carnage at Bruxelles and wasn't expecting anyone alongside.
Usual iffy start and then managed to avoid anymore shenanigans and at one point was up to 8th. The pit stop soon fixed that and ended up having a very enjoyable but quiet Sunday drive around. Am 50/50 for Sebring as I have to pick my wife up from the airport that afternoon so may not make it back. Thanks all

@Nick Westy you drive like you have a death wish. Honestly it's not surprising to see your race getting ruined given how you battle on track.

-Lap 1 T1: you already have a DT cause you sped at the start, yet you still chose to get super aggressive, you make contact with @Toni Talvitie then proceed to push him off track as if he was never there
-Lap 4: battle with @Gaetan NOYGUES, you abolutely overshoot T1 which allows Gaetan to get well alongside but you'll chose to force a side by side in Eau Rouge which often will result in a disaster. End of the straight when Gaetan is in front (and has more pace) you make a dive, barely avoid contact cause Gaetan saw you coming and left the space, yet next turn you turn in like you're alone on track, leaving no space => both taken out
-Laps 5 to 13: I'm stuck behind you, maybe you have damage but you're clearly struggling yet you defend like we're fighting for the podium, I'm cautious and don't try moves that would result in us crashing but you made that difficult
Example: Lap 6 final chicane, I'm well alongside at the end of braking and I'm on the inside, you almost spun yourself cause you turn in like you're alone, I have to slam the brakes at the apex not to spin you
-Lap 13 final sector: you're sideways every corner, you're slow out of Stavelot, I come alongside cause I'm faster, you slam your door on mine in the straight, then arriving at Blanchimont you take the racing line as if you're alone AGAIN, I try to lift to avoid contact and we still connect, you end up in the wall

End of the race you're all alone you can do no more damage.

You could have had a podium easily in this race if you just were a bit more considerate to people around you. You drove like you're alone on track and you paid the price for it. I'd say this can be a learning experience but I'm not sure you'll even consider you're in the wrong in anything.

I do not excuse anything (It's almost disrespectful to imply that about me, but yeah call it what you want...) and while I also described how I do things, the part about filing protest is not my "exclusive" way of doing it. This is a process in place in this league, see https://simracingonline.co.uk/threads/sim-racing-online-racing-rules-and-regulations.126/

Maybe that is interesting for others too, as I do not see a point of spending a lot of energy trying to discuss that here. That said, it is also true that I am no admin/moderator here.

I get your point mate but my point is that it's better to educate Bronze 0 driver avout blue flags and not being a total prick on track instead of trying to tell S2 and Platinum 3 driver how to avoid people that are pricks. All drivers should adhere to some driving standards and telling me that he might not see me (after 1 contact u flashed several times to mark my presence behind and still had to deal withba guy who just decided to join without registering to ruin others races by wandering around with 2.30 lap times.
Not trying to be disrespectful about you but in your previous post you're defending that kind of behaviour. Being slow doesn't mean being a prick.

I would rather members talk directly to each other in private rather than "battle it out" in the post race forum thread.

If you feel someone broke the SRO rules, use the protest system (that's what it is there for!).

I would also ask that members don't use what we say in commentary against one another. We call the action "in the moment", we don't go back and review incidents in detail apart from maybe another look in a replay. We call how we see things, trying not to pick sides, giving the benefit of the doubt and realising we don't know the full picture of what drivers are seeing.

So please let's try and be civil with one another and enjoy this virtual racing hobby we have.

The reason I reacted was your suggestion of a 105% rule (something Like that) after the race,
which you've clarified in the meantime. That doesn't change the fact that I've been racing with most of the people here for years, and there have certainly been some hair-raising lapping maneuvers, but so far there haven't been any situations that would have required drastic measures. Perhaps things are different now, which is why I mentioned the possibility of filing a protest.
And yeah, I understood that you think that I was trying to educate you how you could have avoided that or those specific incidents but as Said, that was Not my Intention. (I mean the „Most of them“ should have made that clear, but obviously it did Not)

    Positives: a top 10 finish.
Otherwise, well, I think I made a mistake choosing the McLaren. I can't get it to not understeer without making it scarily loose, and it gets beaten on the brakes by everything else. I only managed to outbrake Paus because I'd (luckilly) got my nose in front first.
It started off OK even after the carnage at the back, but the car just kills its front tyres and then it's a real struggle. Near the end I had a massive spin at the top of Eau Rouge, which resulted in tyres that had completely different wear numbers to each other, and a car that now drove like a V8 shopping trolley.
I'll give the car a try at Sebring, but I might have to request a car change. It was not fun to drive at all :(

The exact same thing happened between me and westy at monza, due to pc crashing i started from the back, I caught up to him and was obviously faster I was beside him on the inside but he turned in anyway, I know we all get the red mist from time to time but to be so defensive when there is an hour to go is silly in my opinion, never had an issue with contact in the last series everyone was respectful but let's move on live and learn and have fun
