Well I wouldn't have called it an awkward pass personally, got a good draft past but on that line just caught a marker pole and around she went, which after 30 minutes of pedalling to keep up with the top 4 was annoying, but reminded me again what I don't miss about league racing compared to iRacing, where you can go again in 2 hours time.

Not that that is anything against this league at all, but having dipped my toe back in with this series, I obviously need a different mentality to prosper.

 

It's just what this sort of racing is like unfortunately. One mistake and you're out. Although saying that the F3 cars around here are awful and far too slow to be of any challenge.

 

Masta is a hell of a chicane, Nick, and it's very difficult for one car, let alone two in parallel. The inside car most likely will hit the right side of the track in the middle of the chicane or will have to lift so much to avoid it, that will lose all momentum for the ongoing straight... Or hit a pole as you did.
That's why I said it was awkward in my view, a bit too risky, as it might have been (again IMO) more effective to, having catched, lift and overtake in the following straight.
But it's always easier thinking and saying these things sitting on the couch than in the heat of the race... No offense intended with the remark anyway.
