rFactor 2 Round 4 Hungaroring

I feel it gives me more spatial awareness. Flat screens or even ultrawide just doesn't feel right anymore. I like the feeling of sitting in the car and being surrounded by everything.

 

Strange, I did not notice any "very bright" track. Nor SK ring nor Hungaroring. Also using VR. But here ends all positives from the race :| Somehow I was unable to get and feel any grip from the car on both these tracks. Not sure if anything changed after upgrade, or it is just way how the track is created. In RB ring and also in Brands Hatch the feeling from the car was so much better. In yesterday's race I was just strugling and fighting with the car itself and with my will to stay and finish the race . I can just congratulate to the winners and envy those who enjoyed it

 

I found this track quite bright, also quite slippy. Got a great qually in (P5) obviously punching above me weight there with faster guys behind me. Had a pretty tardy launch but had a great battle with Kostas or lap after lap. Later on, after the exit of T1 Kostas and I touched, if may have been my fault, not sure, but waited for Kostas to get going just in case, which let Phillip through I think it was. I managed to pull off a great move on Kostas with momentum after Kostas got it was squrrelly out of the tight chincane. Unfortunately out of the 2nd to last right hander laster on I thunderfooted the car with a combination of worn tyres, this let Kostas through and Ed somehow managed to brake to avoid hitting me. I managed to stave off Ed and pull away a bit, then sort about trying to re-catch Kostas who looked to be in tyre trouble. My tyres were wearing also so I had to start to change my lines into corners, right on the final lap with Ed right on my tail again ( I think Ed does a great job keeping he tyres in one piece, I noticed his pace late in previous races), finally I pulled off a pass on Kostas around the outside of the final turn on the final lap, with myself, Kostas and Ed finishing barely a second apart over the line. I really enjoyed the racing, just need to cut out the little mistakes and I will be up there with my Team mate

this leaderboard on your screen - is that an overlay or a native plugin for RF2? I would need something like this, but working in VR. I dont like overlays for VR as is is quite tricky to setup and use them in there

"Tinypedal" and i capture it with crew chief so I can see it in VR. Probably doesn't work if you don't have a SteamVR headset though.

 

yes, I tried already overlays via crewchief, but it is hard to setup if I have just one monitor and RF2 is running on it. The best is to have monitor dedicated for overlays. At least this is my experience. Thans anyway! I just hoped that there is maybe some native plugin working within RF2.

yes, your car really is grey. I played with your skin a bit and finaly was able to make it correct. Honestly, not sure which change made it as the behaviour seemed to me quite random At the end it work fine when I put underscore to your folder name (both folder, plus name in rcd file) and made entries in rcd file the same way as Ben has. If you want more details or some screenshots PM me

 

Yes please screenshot it so I can change it on my end. It's weird because my spectator PC picked up the skin OK.
