frustrated with myself had good prep for this one and felt good with pace qual 4th and was up to p2 on 2nd lap but a mistake on lap 3 caused me to spin and b back off the pack, played catch up but with damage from spin i was 12mph slower down straights, pitted early but damaged repair cost me even more time then the rain which i thought was going to be light that was a monsoon out there which the track being extremely wet and flooded it was just a case of bring it home and survive, grats to winners

Tough race with the changing conditions but I really enjoyed the spectacle of Le Mans with the full 24 hour transition.

I glanced the wall at Virage Du Pont, in the dry , just before the first stop and lost 75 seconds to damage. I then got a drive through for speeding. Got that out of the way and wasnt out for long before the rain started. Came straight in when advised and switched to wets.

Very slippy to start with, but once I got a few laps on the table I was able to push more. I seemed to go better in the wet than the dry for some reason o_O. Made up some places and ended up 6th without too much more drama. Pretty lonely racing but atmospheric none the less...

    Grats finishers and podiums!

it was all going so well until the rain started, was expecting light rain near the end of the race not a monsoon in the middle of the night, did not do any full wet practice and that cost me dearly as never ran LMU in the full wet, with a full dry setup the car was completely undriveable, with my diff setting the car would spin in the slow corners at the drop of a hat, had zero grip on the rear, forgetting to increase wet tyre pressures at the stop and staying out 1 lap too long also caused more spins, two trips to the pits to fix damage and more spins than any other race put me out of contention for the win, was all about survival to get to the end, learnt allot about driving these cars in the wet tho should have done it before the race.

Well done to Tanner and Philip for doing their homework in the wet, at least the points battle will close up between the 3 of us to make it interesting in the remaining rounds.

I can't imagine what "heavy rain" would look like lol... The server was set for "light rain" at 100%, then drizzle ..

I trained in "storm" conditions, which was way worse than that, had TC/Cut at 8/8 and full wing - really hard to keep the car on track at any point. That was probably the reason I was needlessly overcautious. That said, the track was still very wet (according to the HUD), so I assume the light rain was long enough to create a mess but with managable with a conservative set-up (at least for me).

Interesting, I did not touch that at all and it did still work, somehow.
