Very nice! James Russell took my car, and I can't join the race! :/ Thank you.

Apparently your car should be tied to your GUID

Ok, I hope you are able to join now. Looking for the race server, I thought I was just on the practice one. Old and confused. And I was ck summed and never picked a car during Q, or so I thought.

Only if the server is locked is the guid tied to the car.

When server isn't locked, anybody can join and steal somebody else's car.

When server isn't locked, guid only gives you preference to a skin.

    Eg.

    There are 4 skins for car 1, skin a, b, c and d
    Each assigned to a guid.

Dude X joins, who has been assigned skin b, he gets it
Dude Y joins next, he is assigned skin c via guid, he gets it.
Before dude W joins, (assigned skin A) random dude joins and selects car 1. He is not assigned any skin via guid, so is given the first available skin, skin A.
Dude W joins next, but his skin A is already taken, so he gets skin D instead.

Finally dude Z tries to join, but all of the car 1 skins have been given to people. Despite him being assigned skin D on the server, he cannot join.

Sorry to whomever's race I must have ruined right before the jump there on lap 1. I was looking forward to this race and you must have been as well.

My apologies are becoming too frequent here; it seems this mod is proving too much for my laptop, as this is the second time I've had mid-race CPU problems. I'm going to have to withdraw, because starting right in the middle of the field only to teleport into people in front and behind is unacceptable.

I had a lot of fun driving with you guys though! Hope to be able to run next season's mod --- GPL?

Gutted with that. Started having intermittent throttle stutter on lap 3 followed by complete failure. Thought I must have blown my engine only to discover after leaving the game my pedals had become disconnected from my wheel  I'll watch the livestream instead.

Fun race, but that default setup was pretty unstable :) Gained some spots in start, but did spun and have to wait whole grid front of me before i did rejoin the track. Did another spun lap 2 i think, but then I got that feeling that car. Almost got Jos, but when I tried to pass him, he was always front of me so, didn't want overtake him on grass :D After that Mac got bad exit on long straight, and I had to run on grass and they got away. Catch up Mac again, but unfortunately punted him when he was pretty slow in corners, but that was definitely my fault. Sorry for that!:( I did wait him, and Jos and Toni got half minute gap. After that we had Great battle with Mac. Who said you can't battle side by side in Nords? :D

    Grats for Winners!

Deserved to win in class 2 but oh well. Something bullshit always has to happen.

Accidentally hit the tp to pits button on the last lap with about 4 corners to go, so yeah, no points despite leading 7/8 laps. Glad I spent hours practicing for this to get absolutely nothing! :D:D:D

Not your fault buddy. I was very pissed tho, got damage in the incident and lost some seconds of laptime.
Allmost quit the race and go to bed. 2nd in overall but incident took my win. Well i can live with that.

I saw Henri coming faster so let him by 2times, plan was to let him go and catch and be my torpedo, which actually happened so something went in my way atleast.

I got same idea that you can be my torpedo against Jos but after that everything went horribly wrong due my own mistakes... :)

We did Targa in GTL and it was actually much easier to learn than Nords. Edit: Not learn really but but you can see better where corners are going...

On the Mariusz/James car issue, maybe the error is that there was no additional Porsche 935 K3 added to the server. As far as I've seen on previous days' practice runs, James selected that one to run, but there's still only 3 of those on the server available.

Didn't get time to warm up, just jumped into it prior to qually. Which made my qualifying a mess. Taking care of the tires in the out lap didn't put enough heat in them apparently towards the middle of the lap so I spun x) Then I started my timed lap wondering how I manage to keep getting stuck between several cars on this big track lol Couldn't even come close to those front row lap times anyway. So with enough fuel for the 2nd timed lap with worn tires already, it was good enough for 3rd on the grid.

Start was great, everybody was clutchslippin' hahhah I got to turn 1 first but way too hot and overshot it a little and went wide so Matteo could take back 1st. Two laps later there was no catching Matteo with that grip and not stopping Tim with that much horsepower. Not the track to compete with them here. So I went along and just cruised safely to finish the race on the podium. Tires were worn out more than usual during these 8 laps. Not a big issue though. But maybe in the future we could run distance/laps, like in the old days, rather than timed races which is a little boring to use every time. To me at least.

That was a great 3-4 car battle in division 2 despite all the early troubles pretty much each of them had! I caught some awesome moments there watching the replay later. Tough break for Mac who obviously had tire problems last few laps and was easy to catch up with in the twisty bits. But its top speed was sort of a "salvaging trump" there, greater than with my Toyota

On another note, Jos and Henri proved to be really good drivers here, able to push their Escorts really hard around here. And another good driver was missing today! What happened to you @Ted Hough ?

First of all, I must say that Div.2 battle was something great to see all along the race, and thanks to Caitlin for streaming and commenting it :)
Great drive by Jos, Mac, Toni, Kimi and Henri off course, with his superb comeback and his aggressive driving in the last laps. Really funny to see! Grats to Jos for the victory and to the other drivers involved in this battle. :)

Coming back to my race, as often happens, I did probably 25 laps to prepare it, so I was well trained even this time, cause it was the only way to have a chance against Tim on a circuit like this, after watching his laptimes on live timing. However, that pole lap was something really unexpected, but when there are so many cars on track, the grip increases and that helps a lot. Add to this that I decided to use 100% turbo pressure all along the lap... The situation was: 1 shot 1 kill! :D

At the start I was lucky to maintain the lead, cause I put the 3rd gear too early and my speed dropped dangerously, but after that I created a bit of gap, that was enough to keep Tim behind after the first long "cornering" straight. 3 corners later Tim served to me my match point, spinning at the braking before the Karoussel when he was right on my back. Even Filip works was surely precious for me, cause he held up Tim for more than a lap, and that must have costed him some time. Well done Filip :D:p
After Tim's mistake I went all in during the first five laps and a half, giving all I can to create a gap, cause I knew that I would have suffered a lot in the last 2 and a half laps with my worned tyres. When I realised that Tim was right on my same lap times (even with some damage, so hats off) I "simply" had to manage that 10/11 seconds gap in the last part of the race, when I knew that he would have pushed like a madman without giving up until the checkered flag :D:D:D
So no mistakes conceded for me, but this time I drove clean and gently until the checkered flag, even if I wouldn't have been able to resist another lap on my tyres, as the wear was getting seriously bad as my final laptime proves.
Must admit, as I said to Tim, that this one was probably my first time ever in a race at the Ring in which I didn't touched a guard rail for 8 laps in row. It sounds quite like a miracle mate... Do you believe it?!? Bad luck for you :p:p:p:D:D:D:D

See you for the next chaps

I've had a number of commissions come through at work. One about an hour or two before the race that I only just finished. I live in the US, so the races are weekdays for me at about 2:00 in the afternoon and no longer at a manageable time, I went ahead and unregistered because I'm not sure if I can really make the remaining ones, either.
