rFactor 2 Round 5 Bathurst 2016

its running the 2014 from steamworkshop. just tried it and I could join. got to hit the bed thou. but ihave both 2014 and 2016v3 now

 

Does anyone here know of a pluggin that works with dx11 for the pedal inputs ? I got simhub last nite but cant figure out gow to make it work in vr

 

Eric, my research into wheel/pedal plugin sayes it doesn't work with dx11. They recommended using Motec, but when I look at my motec files, they don't have feedback for the wheel, but I think they do have brake/gas info. I seem to have the latest motec plugin, but somehow I think rF2 decides what to send to motec, sometimes data logs have certain channels, other times they are a different name.

 

You have 'Steering Angle [°]' in motec and should be enabled by default channels, but that won't help for VR use as motec is offline only.

 

Yeah i spent hours last night messing with it..i have a hydraulic brake with a pressure sensor so its nice to see the output in realtime..would be rather.lol. thr simhub dash has one i found for vr but it doesnt work like the video i watched.only shows in the mirror

 

Seems like someone would have made one but ive read 397 hasnt released something they need to make the dx9 versions work.

 

I ran the dtm cars i got yesterday around bathurst for a bit but spent the rest of the nite trying to find a pedal overlay.lol

 

Hey guys. Is there any other file to download? Server says " package not available " though I got dowload Bathurst 2016 and V3 version as well.

 

I tested and it seems to connect fine, you have this version installed?


Rename the latest SROxx file to SRO.rfmod in "rFactor 2\Packages", then in rF2 package handler you can see what package is missing

 

I should probably download all tracks in the serie, shouldnt I?

 

That would not help, if you edit the latest SRO file found in your package folder with extension rfmod as I mention above, you would see in the mouse tool tip what is missing if you hover in package settings. rF2 is not making it easy, who knows it might get better with the new UI

 

my WorkInProcess porsche setup. Its not how i liike it but like said, base from which work on.
tyrewear is even, and suspension can take some hits from uneven track. Did 2.07.9 with 70liters and softs.
In races my tyres just wont last, but done only quick sets for one lap only ( no time to work on it ).

And btw...dont alter setup until you can do lets say 10 laps in a row within 1sec each other ( id prefer half a second or less ) safely with your own good pace.
Otherwise you really dont know where the car is lacking but you are only fixing where you are lacking and not reaching the cars potential

Its good general rule tbh. Until consistency, cant do setup.
Only fix 1 issue then attack next issue and finally tune it up.
Ofc with experience process comes much faster.

 

Hello, another CORE Team member (Filip Fojt) would like to take part in this championship with Audi in GT3 category. He has registered yesterday to simracingonline.co.uk, but any confirmation email was not delivered to his mailbox. Now he is able to log in to this site normally, but he can´t use the button for registration to the championship.

Any help, or any idea what is wrong?

It says not instatable " unknown base cmp for Oreca v1.63 " and " virtual base cmp Oreca v1.63 "

 

Do you have any skinpacks installed for the Oreca?
In folder "\rFactor 2\Installed\Vehicles\Oreca_07_LMP2_2017" you should have two folders named 1.62 and 1.63.
(it should be the latest version)

Try unsubscribe in steam, delete the above folders if still there, and let it install again. It should do that when rF2 is started.
