After practicing for a couple hours I have managed a 4:26. Thought I would try the Alfa and on the first timed lap with no set up I beat my time by 2 secs. These heavy powerful cars just seem to be too much for the tyres on this track. It feels like I am literally driving on ice. Living in Northern Canada, I know what that is like. lol
Should be very interesting. We will be in two very distinct groups today!:(

Well, that went pretty much how I expected. Corvette was crap around here (just like every other round apart from Reims) and I made a few mistakes which gave me heavy damage and dropped me down the order. Oh well, congrats to Toni on a well deserved championship I guess.

Have to say i have practiced for these classics a lot. Its not like magic rabit out of hat. usually i really dont practice so its showing now as i really enjoy driving that car even on my little free time.
Today nailed pretty much every corner whole 60 minutes and kept it together and i think having super consistency was the key.
If i'd mess up 1st lap, Julien would have been front and never get pass him, given he keeps it together, so 1st lap was the key for me and then just keep it tight whole race.
Thx for traffic in Q and R, you know who you are <3

You're still in the lead by 10 points. You can come second or third and you still win the championship.

Pro tip, avoid the landmarks. If not, this could happen (check at 1:00:00)

It seems like if there's a way to fly off the track I find it and Caitlin puts it in the broadcast.

Again, it was not a lack of effort, I tried to stay close to Michal in the first lap, overtook him - out braked myself and got hipchecked out of the way by a bigger muscle car. Was a lonly race from then, I trried to go faster and faster until the landmark stopped me. I only lost 40-50 seconds, so I was still in reach with Mariusz. We both made mistakes and exchanged positions, while I have to apologize for an incident as we had it already in Bannochbrae but now in reversed roles and less speed.

We went into the penultimate lap head to head and, it would have been hard to pass him. I was lucky with the lapped cars and passed him at the long slow left hander, while riding through the fence. At least there was some action.

I would have to say that this started as one of my worst preps for a race, but I fell in to a good rhythm quickly. I made, next to no, errors and then all of a sudden there was a Corvette perpendicular across the track. I went to go around it and it backed up right in perfect time to block my only gap. I t-boned it at some incredible speed. I lost front down force and my big old tank started to understeer even more than it was before. I had many laps of very difficult driving and then, as my fuel level came down, and my awareness of the tracks turn ins grew, I started to drop seconds off of my lap times. By the end I found myself 2 sec faster than my practice times with a damaged car. I started pushing so hard to beat my times each lap, I did force myself in to a couple errors, but it was exciting to get in to the 4:18's. Could we do this one again? lol.
Over all, although I finished a the back, this was a good technical race for me with good focus. I just wish I had not tangled with Maddie to drop me back. Kind of wish Maddie would have waited until Michal and I had gone through before backing up but it's sometimes hard to see out to your sides.

    Until the next one!:)
