In the main it was very good, no floating cars or no jumping cars. Even at the start. Very impressive.
Not sure what happened in my case. Ping was about 40-45 something which should be perfect for racing.
I’m still not sure if the game crashed or it was a connection loss.
My only hunch is the Windows 11 update (but the pc is still very new and has very little software on it so should be ok) or possibly the custom livery caused a problem. It was half mine, half Acura on my screen. Very odd. Haha.

Being a new install, maybe I’ll check replay recording, could be an issue there maybe. Has been known to cause the odd problem in the past I guess.

On another note, loving the sparks update. Haha. Although they are a bit too crazy at times. Looked more like fireworks rather than real sparks but us guys run the cars very low anyway.

 

Same issue I had in Mexico Andrew. I'm on Windows 10 Pro so it's not the OS causing it.
Was your laptop running very hot?

 

But not the funniest thing said during the (superb as always) broadcast. I laughed my ass off (and nearly choked on a mouthful of tea) when Mr. John vd Geest announced; "If you sign up to SRO, you can date my sister." Classic.

Server seemed fine. I had one glitch, larger than those i usually get, which corresponded with a moment someone had somewhere on track.
I had replay's off, so i'm thinking it was more likely a foreshadowing of my eventual game crash, not a network or server issue. I did forget to shut down MoTec and calculator and google (which may have even had a "live timing" tab open) before the race, so that may have been a factor, if not the cause.
The game just froze with "Connection Lost" and then dumped me back to the server list. No clues from "Event Viewer". I'm calling "user error".
My network setting was 3.5Mbps up/5.0Mbps down.

The broadcast stream was excellent, as always. Replays add another dimension!

 

No I don’t believe so. All looked ok on the specs. I’ll try a large grid offline race soon and see what happens. Haven’t had any issues before.

As all of us know Windows can be notorious for doing processes in the background so I’m hoping it isn’t something like that.

Thanks very much for this info Rob. As far as I remember, I had set my upstream at 10mbps and downstream at 20mbps. Checked them last night and found they had been changed to 256kbps (Seriously, what is this, 1980?). Have reset them to 5 & 5mbps as recommended. Cheers. (insert thumbs-up icon here!)

 

Good for me, except for being disconnected just as qually was starting. Lost the first few minutes while reconnecting. It's possible the same happened to Richard Charlesworth.
