Just tried the track. Not a fan that you can straight line the final chicane, just completely ignore it is even there, and there is no penalty for it from rF2. So what is allowed? All 4 tyres allowed on the kerbs? 2 tyres must be kept on the Black Tarmac through the chicane? - if so, how may 'mistakes' can you make before incurring some kind of penalty? Eg.. Only the first clip allowed? All of them allowed?
The first example is ok. The second example is questionable and you should try to keep 2 wheels inside the white lines. The third example is not acceptable. If a driver cuts the final chicane anywhere and gains an advantage, they could face a time penalty. This event will most likely be reviewed for track cutting.
Yes at all times in all SRO events. Of course driving errors will occur occasionally, but we don't expect to see it happen lap after lap, which will likely incur a penalty post race. We expect our members to drive in a competitive but fair manner and we do review random races at tracks where it's possible to "take liberties" and possibly get away with it. But in most cases we are notified by members where they see abuse taking place regularly. We do not want to become too hard-line when it comes to on-track behaviour, but when someone is considered to have overstepped the line in an unsportsmanlike manner, they will be on the receiving end of a penalty.
Ken ... the BTCC mod has been updated from v0.90 to v0.95; will drivers who only have v0.95 be able to join this event ?
The mod was updated to 0.95 on 8th Jan, so STEAM installs should have updated for everyone by now. Our servers have also been updated to 0.95 so there shouldn't be a problem for anyone
The allowed Tyre Tuning Option for this race is HARD which includes medium, hard and wet tyres (no softs)
My HARD option only has Hards or Wets (no soft or mediums). But I cannot join anyway, Package not available. I only have the 0.95 version installed.
Thanks for pointing out the tyre options Andrew, I was going from memory when I made the post SRO server has been updated to 0.95.
Surely known by the most people by now: I had a blank car selection when entering the server as I had the old mod file already installed. Just uninstall and delete it in the package manager, and it should reinstall correct when connecting.
For Sale: 1 x pit crew They try hard but are pretty useless. They seemed to change my setup from my practice setup without telling me (car felt bad, had no grip) At my pitstop, they thought it was wise (in a FWD car) to only change the rear tyres instead of only the fronts, causing me to pit again for new fronts. In fact, they can go to a new home for free....
the mercedes use the front tires a lot, dont you think Andrew? impossible to make a race without stopping. even with the hard ones. bad car
