I'm wondering how may times I can get the cork screw right .. some how I feel its just a matter of time .. & If that's not enough to keep you on your toes theirs also the Hi Speed up hill left hand bender with the curb of death .. .. I do love this track .. I grew up about 5 hrs south of Laguna seca in a small surf town called Laguna Beach CA ,so I have always had a sort of ' connection here Don't forget to swing by the ACC forum and vote for what's next for Tuesday Night Racing !
Williams goes into the final round with a 9 point lead ! That means Balli has a slight chance ! Meanwhile M.Johnson will defend his 12 point lead over Gymer ,while still having a slight chance for 2nd ! Lots still up for grabs here !
Kunos back end servers are acting wonky ! private server seem fine , just type the server name in the search bar like normal even if you don't see public lobby's
Congrats to podium !! And thank you admins for all the fun Thank you all it was even though there where some issue´s with my driving in rain Please if any one have a replay and link to broadcast . Mostly a replay not sure why it ends so quick you just don´t have anytime to look at time schedule etc Any way see you around Found the broadcast great guy really nice to follow the front 6 cars
Q Never done this sim in rain so was building speed lap after lap. Front was super "bitey" and had little troubles with corners. Left lots time on track still but my best ever result in acc. R Getting hang of it. My best lap equals to leader but concistency doesnt. Havent had any time to practice this sim at all. Even setting up car is hard. Nevertheless best result ever and at times was ok with pace.
what a great last round that was, it seemed to have a bit of everything, i am going to miss these mad dash sprints on a tuesday night First off, loved the surprise element of a sudden downpour for qualifying. Meant we all had to scramble for wet tyres and whirling our ECU and TC controls for wet grip Was very pleased to qualify 4th have no wet experience in ACC so was a learning curve but loved it. Race start was good, think i got upto 3rd? chasing Simon for a few laps but on turn 3 i got a little too much outside kerb and the car got in an almighty wobble that pitched me into the sand and i lost two places. But had good pace so steamed after Andy Williams and Simon ahead. What followed then was an excellent 3 car battle that lasted until the final few minutes of the race. Simon had fallen behind the pair of us after running wide, as we battled for 4th though he was still charging at me from behind. The action was brilliant for lap after lap but it all went pear shaped when i gave Andy the lightest of taps as he turned into the corkscrew, i really hoped he could hold it but physics took over and his car pitched left instead of right i was gutted. I pulled over to wait for him, but he didnt show for a few secs so then took a drive-thru which was really painful as it cost me 5 places rejoined in 10th. Took a place back in last few minutes and nearly caught 8th but finished a duff 9th place. It was a crap way to end a great race, but guess thats racing. Well done to all that kept racing to the end in this series, its been a corker and i am looking forward to watching the excellent replay. Well done to Rob for organising and to whoever won the series ps whohoo i finished 3rd in the series yeah baby
Good final race to the series. I knew I had to keep near to Roberto to take the championship, and managed to jump him off the start. From then I was taking it a bit easier to avoid launching myself at the beach on the lethal kerbs Then got into the 3 way fight with Simon and Mark. Simon ran slightly wide into the final corner and I got alongside, but he cheekily took back the place around the outside in T1 Fortunately for me, he did the same at the final corner the following lap, which let Mark and me through. Then in corkscrew incident. On the replay it looks like I was barely touched, but couldn't stop it from spinning. More comical was the way Simons car also spun when tapping the rear of Mark, as if it was weightless. I doubt any of the cars would have spun in real life with such little contact. I was slightly beached on an uphill so took a little while to get out. Good racing
It seems like Kunos has gone overboard with aero balance in ACC. To the point where mechanical grip and inertia means nothing, which would explain why cars go spinning off when they make contact - because the aero balance is spoiled when you come in contact with other cars and start rotating sideways. It's very weird, suspension changes don't seem to make much difference in handling of car from my brief testing so far. While aero balance affects like 98% of the cars handling.
I admit that my training with my friend Gavino a couple of days before the race helped a lot. I just kept a good pace during the race, without forcing too much and keeping an eye at Toni's pace, that wasn't good enough to keep up with mine. However, it's always a pleasure to race here, and I hope to have more chances to join your Tuesdays champs in the near future. Thanks to the commentator for his live streaming, and bravo to Simone Meazza that is an old VDA mate back to online racing just a couple of weeks before this race after some 8 years of complete stop. I liked to watch his tenacious comeback after the mistakes he did all by himself. A 7th place is not so bad after all. Grats to Andrew Williams for the victory of the champ, and well done to Balli and Jonzo for their podium. See you soon
..not my best race in this last round, but it's ok Congrats on the win of the championship to Andrew and to Matteo for this round. Hope I can see you in Suzuka ( not sure because of holidays ) Thanks to Rob & admins for these great ACC series !
