Wow that is great info that i haven't red about yet, thanks FKR! But maybe i'm not smart enough to understand it because i find such issues so overly complicated :(
So is there a way to choose track year OR season year in the game menus?? I don't remember seeing anything regarding that option!? Is it possible i was practicing and setting the car on 2019 version and then raced here on a 2020 version? One thing i did was copy/paste base car setups from one track to another because i thought i was saving time tweaking up from a stable/fast base setup. But if this is the case i might just messed it all up... It buggers me that we can't use setups from other similar tracks, but always have to start fresh or do what i've done (apparently i shouldn't). Yes it might explain why tyres work so erratic at some tracks,
But then again, is it safe to assume that a 2019 car Vs a 2020 car will match even in a 2020 track or not? The 2015 cars for instance are SO diferent from the others that they feel another 'game'.
I understand the need to have some BOP "forced" limitations to some cars/tracks combinatios.. what i didn't expect was the tracks themselves having diferent 'tastes' according to the season/year.. humm o_O Means what in reality? BAhhh why is it so complicated...
PS: OH, BTW this time on silverstone i've just used the agressive setup from the track and added fuel.. so in this case i dind't import the setup, but tyres overheat and skid anyhow from no apparent reason.

The tracks are no different year to year, only the actual cars BoP or tyre model changes depending on year selected. You can select the year from your single player menu. It has tabs at the top for each year and also IGT or European series filters.
To get your tyre pressures right you need to do some laps on race night with race fuel load to adjust them to suit the weather/temperature as best possible. Of course we use variable weather so they will still fluctuate but you can get them near enough.
