Sorry to the leaders for my spin in front of them, which seemed to have caught us all by surprise.

 

Further to the accident. I was just reading Octobers MotorSport Magazine of an article about Collin Chapman’s, Lotus 72. That year after Ronnie Peterson died, Emerson Fittipaldi became the No1 driver and his first practice outing in the 72 saw him bin the never raced, brand new car through the Parabolica. He also took Guinti’s Ferrari with him.
His excuse, he was looking in the mirrors and missed his brake point. If that is good enough for Emerson its good enough for me.
Lesson learned, ignore mirrors?
