It's now 04:00 but hey, I got my new PC today, so of course I'm staying up to stupid times of day playing with it.
Approximate fuel number to make this a one-stop race at last season's pace is 3.43L/lap.
To be safe in case the leaders have picked up enough to go an extra lap per half, the number drops to 3.23L/lap.
3.43L/lap sounds about right.
BTW, the server is up. Show us your laptimes. Last series best was a 2.32.8 in race
These should be visible under the Sessions Tab in Livetiming from the link we provide. Server #2 is the Seat Leon server.
Ken, are you for real You really think I don't know that?
I said that because there is only 1 time set up till now. And its mine
Well I accidentally jiggled the power cord on my new PC and it corrupted my AC install, so I'm in the process of building it back up from scratch. Not how I planned to spend what little time I get to practice.
Just run the Steam verification to sort the files out
Right click game, properties, local files, verify integrity of game files
Tried that, didn't help. Some of the other mods kept crashing, fixed a couple of them but that didn't resolve the issue and the logs didn't clearly indicate what was still broken. Both the main client and Content Manager just kept crashing whenever I entered the session. So I'm starting over. Sigh.
What I do at the end of each season is delete the 'content' folder, and then run the steam verification.
That removes all modded cars and tracks, and restores it back the default.
Then I can install the new mods and tracks for the next season
That's a rather elaborate way of doing things. Just uninstall AC. Let Steam reinstall the game. Install the mods you need. and you're doen. Takes what, 20 minutes?
Then you have to reinstall all of your ac apps (ptracker etc) and activate them, move them to where you previously had them etc?
or do they stay installed even when you uninstall AC?
If you do a cold install you need to install all apps too. But I don't see why anyone would have issues with AC. Now what Pasha did most likely corrupted the program so he should reinstall everything. But what you are doing is just silly
Why is it silly?
It resets my ac content to default with all of my settings and apps intact.
You are reinstalling the full program, I am reinstalling a single content folder.
So who is silly?
apparently the Fuel Usage mod doesn't want to work with this specific car
Use the ingame one. Its good enough ;-) BTW, You were the only one who didn't have to refuel in the last series
The in-game app is the one that's broken. It dies with this car and only this car. I've contacted Esotic directly on RD, and he has been working with me, and even sent me a development version of the FuelUsage app, but it still crashes. With just this car.
And because when it rains, it pours, the power supply was making a deafening death-rattle while I was trying to play, until I finally just pulled on the fan grate with a screwdriver, and popped it back into place. So at least I won't have to take the whole rig in for service anymore. Probably.
…but I guess if I can set times like these (averaging 2:33.9 at race setup) and still have over a lap of fuel left, I guess it'll be OK.
OH HAPPY DAY, I got Esotic's Fuel Usage app running happily again. I found a usage history file that looked like it got corrupted, probably from when I was still mucking about with the new PC and accidentally cut the power while AC was running! That explains why it was only this car that was crashing it.
In case it's not already glaringly obvious, I'm seriously excited for this finale.
Guys, I have been mulling over this the last few days and was not sure if I would post it, but here goes.
As you all know the championship is still up for grabs. Almost no position on the leaderboard is safe. This was exactly the intention of the double points final race. However, just because the top spot is not yet secure and can still be won by 3 persons I would like to ask You all to use your head in this race. By that I mean race to the best of your ability, but please do not do stupid things.
At the start, the first corner is a very difficult one. La Source is known to cause a big pile up, so try to avoid contact. Same goes for Eau Rouge/Raidillon. If you try to overtake there, be sure you can do it without contact.
And although highly unlikely, but if there is a situation where you are to be lapped by the leaders, give them space.
Other than that, Race Hard! And above all, HAVE FUN!
