Hi, I am Robert from Exmouth, Devon, UK. I have been sim racing offline since about 1995 when I first tried Microprose Grand Prix. Raced with my son but always offline. I have followed motor sport since I was young. First race I went to was the 1968 British GP at Brands Hatch - won by Jo Siffert in a Lotus 49. I have Automobilista, Project Cars, rfactor2, Assetto Corsa, Dirt Rally, Grid Autosport etc, F1 2016. I have a G29 with triple screens and a second hand gamepod seat. PC is I7 - 477ok processor 24gig ram AMD Radeon 7970 Have visited quite a few circuits notably Road America in Wisconsin when I was on a trip to the USA in 2008. I am married with two grown up sons and three grandchildren. I am a minister of religion of a United Reformed Church here in Exmouth. I am looking forward to having a go at online racing and hope I am not too slow!
Welcome to SRO Robert. You have a pretty impressive setup. Go on the servers when you have some spare time, My aim is always to finish the race and above all have fun at the end of the day it is only a game but there are some who take it to serious I do like to win but not at any cost. If you need help with setups John and myself will help you out. Hope to see you on track soon. My local track is Silverstone I only live 45 minutes away I always go to the WEC every year in April.
Going again next year already reserved my ticket done it early I get free pit walk. I have been to every WEC at Silverstone from when the series started. Might see you there next year.
Hi I'm Brussells (Ben Russell - didn't realise everyone else would be using their real names as their forum name). I was introduced to the site via Thomas A, who I've been racing with for a short while over on Race2Play & Realish Racing. Unfortunately with R2P closing up shop, & the series we were in drawing to a close, I've been on the look out for other racing groups, and this looks like a good place to start. Have been sim racing for a few years now (could be more - time flies), having started out with console games like Gran Turismo back in the day (when I were younger), but more serious (with a wheel) racing from iRacing, to RaceRoom, rFactor2, SCE, Dirt Rally, PCars etc....the list goes on. I'm not the quickest guy on the track, but I understand the principles of clean, fair racing, am learning more in regards to setups etc, and most importantly enjoy racing! Hoping to get into some more endurance racing, as I've only done some testing against AI, in rF2, and a couple 2 hour multiplayer racing. Would love to be involved in some team endurance racing, and it seems this is a common theme here. Looking forward to organising some events, racing as much as possible (around family & work commitments), and meeting new friendly racers. See you on the track!
Welcome to SRO Ben This site was started about 16 months ago and is gradually growing. As you can see we race all the popular sims take a look at RF2 we have a couple of races this weekend. Any questions all ways ask we are a really friendly bunch of guys. I have been a member at r2p from 2009 not raced there much as this site takes up a lot of my time. Hope to see you on track soon
Would like to say welcome to all the new members here, don't be shy. Tell us about yourself and what you like racing
Hi, I'm Matthew Overton, from Ottawa, Canada. I've been simracing now for about 7 years, variety of sims and formats. Another R2P orphan being flung out into the cold , I'm trying out some new experiences and sites. Some familiar names here and look forward to seeing old and new friends out on the track. @Nigel - I'm sorry I didn't know you earlier as I was at the Silverstone WEC last year, and met another R2P racer, James Andrew .... nasty weather but a great day of racing!
HI all,Im Ze Jesus from Portugal, Maybe some here already know me I'm Atlantic Motorsport team manager and so I'm going to bring some of my drivers to here, I also saw that those who previously ran in R2P are also moving here, as a driver I'm not a fast one , But I do to always be loyal on track. I hope to have some fun here! Thank you for accepting me.
HI Ze. Welcome to SRO. If you need any help with anything then please feel free to PM my self or @Nigel Middleton We hope you enjoy your time with us
