Grats on the championship Ricardo!
I got my ass kicked.
The sim racing gods were with me this time!
I was playing with the radiator settings during practice and left it at 3!
That's why the pole was mine, I believe
When i saw it, during warm up, there was nothing i could do.
So, i raced the first laps with fuel mixture at 5, and after that at 4
That's why i couldnt do nothing to stop Nick from overtaking me..
When he came close.. i even had to change it to 3... as i saw smoke coming out of my car
I shit my pants!!
Soon after, went to pit, did a first few laps in fuel mixture 5, than 4, and finished the race in 3
In the end, i won the race because Nick had a penalty
Man, Nick is so fast in a DTM. Unbelieveble! With 20 minutes to go, he closed a gap to me of 17 seconds . I might take up fishing as a hobby instead .
When he closed the gap HE OVERTOOK ME ON THE OUTSIDE OF T1 !!! Downright humiliating!
You took the option tires? A good setup for the soft tires is better than using the option
WHAT!! You took the soft tires?! Oooohhh right!! That figures ... Yes, I was on the option. Did not even test soft. Did soft hold for 50 liters?
Did you also take soft tires in Malaysia? I was on option there aswell.
You know, I was wondering all throughout the race ... how can those guys be so much faster then me, when it was so close in qual? And usually I'm better in the race then in qual. Now I begin to understand where I steered wrong.
I took the softs... and so did Nick (i'm positive sure)
With a good setup.. yes..
when they start to fade (the ones in the front) i add some rear bar
option tires in the 2013 suck... and are far worst than the softph in the 2012 version
You can add rear bar while driving?
yes.. front and rear
i leave the front alone and add rear bar as soon as the front tires start to fade (just a click)
it's possible in some cars, another is the nissan tg500

You know, on options, I was shitting myself every time we came to turn 4 and the third gear corner before the main start/finish straigth. The damn car was soooo loose there.
I had to be soooo carefull putting down the power there on exit. I felt all the time that the car lacked grip on the fast corners and traction on exit. I thought the whole 2013 car was no bloody good hahaha
i believe you... like i said, the option tires suck
in the 2013 the thing is getting a good setup, i.e., one that is fast and doesn't destroy tires in 5 laps
brake bias the more possible to rear
suspension (increase rear a bit so facilitate fronts work)
add coast and preload (seems to work with me)
add rear bar (works but you need to be carefull on curb exit)
and the dampings... well, that i do by trial and error.. as i confess i'm ignorant in that parameter
Well, my setup is very well balanced for my driving. No problem there. Just was ignorend about the tires LOL!
On the 2012 car, it worked perfect with the PH tires. Well, you live you learn ...
Would have been difficult to win anyway comming from third with you 2 in front of me.
The next one will be different... better!!
I would go with the 2012 version... quite better, i think
Started well gained 3 places by turn 1, Barrett over took me on the start /finish lap1
overtook Rob into turn 1 on lap 3
pitted on lap 23 in 4th spun in the pit exit, managed to spin round without damage came out still in 4th & finished the race there.
Looking forward to the next series (think I'll put some super glue on the tires for that )

We will have a team ranking system that is being worked on along with lots of other stuff that need doing.
