We are checking out the potential interest in running Raceroom series here at SRO and to assist in this we are going to run a handful of Familiarisation/Fun Runs, starting with the TCR Cup cars at Laguna Seca this coming Monday 3rd August. Both track and car mod will allow members to run without having to purchase any Addons or DLC. This first run will be 2x20min races running back to back with an initial 10min Qualifying session starting at 18:00GMT followed by a 5min Warmup session. Both races will use standing starts. As this is a test/familiarisation/fun run only, no registration is required and no points will be allocated. The default SRO server password used for all our practice session will be used. Unlucky Doug. Mariusz and I ran the 1st race and I've restarted the server. I'll leave it up for a few days.
I’ll see if I can round up a few people from the R3E Discord. If I find a few who’d like to race on Wednesday, I’m not sure the time slot, but it will be in the evening German time, if there will be a group of us racing. I will try to get them to sign up to our forum.
Thanks to Doug, Toni Talviti and Mariusz Lebioda for participating in the initial Fun Run/familiarisation. It's always good to refresh your experiences with a Sim that hasn't been used for a while. I've left the server running for a few more days to give online connection checking for others. Any questions about the Sim or online racing with it please feel free to post here. Equally if anybody is a complete novice with Raceroom then please let us know and we can look at running other sessions to help fill in the blanks.
