Well, I would be very happy if the rest of the league feels the same way :)
I bought the car a few days ago for € 4,- and it's great.

Sounds nice - Is it worth starting with the Formula '79 to build up to it though? (Also that's even cheaper and looks like it'll be closer/more fun - massive power always makes for more hotlapping)

I'd advise not racing with the tracks from the 1988 pack. They're quite bad in terms of quality and a few don't have working pitboxes. If I'd have to pick a good series of tracks to choose I'd go for this:
    1. Interlagos (modern version)/Jacarepagua (There's a good AMS conversion)
    2. Imola (AMS conversion)
    3. Monaco (The 1988 track pack version is fine)
    4. Silverstone (The modern version is fine)
    5. Hockenheim (AMS conversion)
    6. Spa (1988 version is fine. Modern version could work too)
    7. Suzuka

Could run with a similar calendar than that or put in a couple of wildcard tracks if we wanted to mix it up a bit.

Wash your mouth out! The only version of Silverstone that doesn't make me want to hang myself is the '67 version.
    The rest are dreadfull :D

No worries. The car is not so difficult as the F1 2000 by RSS. It's quite manageable. Give it a spin and you'll see.

Haha. Preferably we could use a version with the bridge layout but there's no good version of that available so the modern version would have to do.

RSS make superb cars. They also do a GTR2 style mod with all the old favourites - Lister, Mosler, Viper etc. Not bought this one yet but its on the wish list. I have already bought the 1990 F1 car and even though I'm no good in single seaters its awesome. They also do a Lotus 79 which I also have and that is again very good. Their mods are super detailed and although I'm no technician the physics and as good as any in AC. :)

I notice that this version of Suzuka converted from ACC has just been released http://www.mediafire.com/file/idkqu...64L8LpLH6K8UM-LZYqc4hBwIiIuIbAHEFdiH6Z8mjhj6o. Not entirely sure but I don't think the layout has changed much since the 90's so could be one to consider. :)

Big fan of classic F1 and the RSS 1990 mod is great quality but not so sure about using it for league racing. Might well turn into a snoozefest after the first couple of hectic laps. The GTR2 inspired mods from RSS are also excellent and would probably provide better racing. GT1 class is great but don't forget the NGT class, Ferrari vs Porsche would make an excellent series.

NGT vs. GT3, what is different between those two? What I know GT3/2 is most boring class in AC...

Ngt has less power, grip or brakes and move around a lot more. You also can't compare GT1 with GT3, the regs don't even remotely resemble each other.

GT1´s are good fun, we did series with those somewhere...if NGT has less power and grip than GT3/2 (i.e. more boredom :) ) I'm not intrested at all.

Nothing like GT3, less aero, no traction control, no ABS and around 450bhp. Fast and tricky but also rewarding to drive.....

Just watched video and it looks very much like GT3 to me, without ABS ,TCS and most of all, power...

watching that 90's f1 vid above takes me back to the f1 racing sims by Geoff Crammond back in the day  i would be interested in racing a series using them (or other spec single seater) for a change of scene. Are they BoP'd though or use the pecking order of the day? otherwise you would have 10 mclarens and Ferraris! When i ran a F1 '79 series i limited the teams choices to 2 cars per team so that we had an excellent varied grid of cars and it made it so much better as a spectacle.:)

GT1/NGT could be good too though wouldnt we just be repeating all those years of GTR1 and 2 ?! o_O A BPR series mod would be ace if available, as it had some mega cars.

The RSS F1 1990 is just 1 car with the 1990 season skins. So BOP is not relevant.
If we were to use this mod, then it would be indeed 2 cars per team to choose from (or 3 if we go beyond 20 signups).
