    I'm new to RF2, and got it up and running. But, how do I get the content installed? I've subscribed to both the cars and the track mod, but nothing is happening. When I log on to the server i'm getting "package not available"

    try restarting steam / if you subscribe they should all get downloaded & installed , make sure you have the game set for auto updates, To do this start steam ,in your games list highlight rf2 and right click ,now go to properties and use the drop down to select 'always keep this game up to date' ..

    I think restarting Steam was exactly what was needed. Its downloading something now. And I had the setting for "always keep this game up to date" on ;-)
