Seat Leon TCR - 2018 1.0 Anyone tried this out? Has great reviews and could be an interesting alternative to the Leon made by KUNOS. Will try and give it a run this weekend.
I've got it, but I feel the Leon we are using now is better. I know Shaun had his TCR mod checked by a real TCR driver and according to him its as close as it can get to the real deal, but it understeers like crazy
Just tried out the Seat Leon TCR - 2018 This is noooooooooooooooooo yawn!! Drives how I would imagine it should drive. Would seriously think about signing up for a new Seat Leon series if this mod was used.
The updated version (1.1) is a bit better that version 1.0 apparently. Just tried it at Brand Hatch GP and did a 1.30.5 out of the box. With some tweaking I'll shave 0.5 to a second of that time. So its faster than the Leon Eurocup, but it eats up its tyres... @ Larry, why wouldn't you take part in the Eudocup Leon?
Tried the mod (version 1.0) and i guess it was very good and realistic, didn't notice really the "understeer" effect people talk about...
If you use the stock set-up it understeers more than the Leon Eurocup. That's the one you need to compare it with. After some set-up work its a lot better. Its still a FWD car, so a bit of understeer will always be there
@Roy Cop just gave the Seats a run at Brands (I only have the week-ends for racing) and found for me that the difference is less pronounced there. Yes, the TCR mod is quicker than the Eurocup (for me 1:32 compared to 1:34) but what counts for me is that the TCR is a bit more precise, more predictable (for driving and correcting errors), and doesn't float around as much as the Eurocup. Why am I not interested in the Eurocup Leon? Mainly because I find that it floats around too much and for me is unpredictable. It could perhaps be the set-up that I could never get right. Front wheel drives are even more a mystery to me than rear wheel drives!
@Larry Thomas , I understand where you’re coming from, but don’t you feel that finding a good set-up for a car is half the fun of these sims? And to be honest, I’m not a wizard either going by my recent races. I did one last wednessday with the Seat Leon Supercup, where the winner had a fastest lap around Brands Hatch GP that was 1.8 seconds faster than mine. And you are right in that the TCR is faster than the Europcup, but it does come at a cost. It eats front tyres. The series 2 of the Seat cup has been planned and just needs to be posted. And if you feel that set-ups are the problem, I’m willing to share my set-up to help you out.
You are right, well nearly, let's say a quarter of the fun, but the problem is that I can not find that set-up. Have never raced FWD before the Leon series so if you could send me your set-up so that I could give it a go and compare I would appreciate it.
The SEAT season 2 is about to be posted .. Help me out here guys .. wtf mod are we using ? lol Is there an update to the Seat Leon eurocup ? (the mod from last season) if so i need links ..(i don't even see this mod anywhere to download a newer version ? Where is it? lol RD only has the TCR 2018? ) I just finished uploading all the missing tracks to the SRO DL section .. is there any thought/intent of moving to the new Seat leon TRC 2108 ?
Thanks guys !! Got it & it's now in the SRO Downloads section ! & for anyone interested here is a peek of another possible series for this Summer !
I started this thread over at SRS a while back, and the idea is still rattling around in my head, to try to put together a series that matched the spirit (if not the exact cars) of the IMSA Street Tuner class. The real series combined several different "affordable"(-ish) street cars into a loose spec that slotted in just below GT4 in terms of speed. In 2017 these included the Mazda MX-5, BMW 328i, MINI Cooper JCW, Nissan Altima V6, Porsche Cayman, and Audi S3. Not all of these are available in Assetto Corsa, so I poked around in the list of cars, and came up with a similar list of cars, and set up a public server to test them at Brands Hatch. These were the results: Porsche 718S - 1:41.286 Abarth 500 AC - 1:41.939 Mazda MX-5 Cup - 1:44.167 BMW 1M (standard tune) - 1:44.245 Toyota GT86 - 1:50.977 Audi S1 - 1:51.246 Alfa Romeo Giulietta QV - 1:54.794 I still think it should be possible to work out some kind of BoP to smash some selection of these into a competitive class. Might we want to set up an open practice server for some more experimentation? This isn't just an excuse to try creating a unified racing skin pack for these cars, but... yeah, I'd have fun doing that too.
Hello everyone. Video bellow goes to the historics fans. I would be totally in for a series with it! https://www.racedepartment.com/threads/formula-ford-russell-alexis-mk-14.162689/ Formula Ford - Russell Alexis Mk.14:
